Great hospitaltiy but uncomfortable area

I injoyed my stay at the orchard hotel but many bars were around the hotel & other bad things.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Universal Studios is the best thing in Sungapore.

Excellent except that the staff at the hotel gave me wrong advice to install a device for my car costing for access to the central business district which I do not really need and only found out from the immigration officer at the causeway when I was leaving Singapore for Malaysia. According to the immigration officer I only require to apply for an auto pass which would cost very much less than the device which was installed in my car as I am not a Singaporean.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Quite convenient to travel to various places of interests that tourists normally frequent.

liked the goods but didn't like the services. I was charged AU$70 for a 8 min phone call!!! very expensive. Also it cost $20++ to watch a movie in our room - everything was at at high cost. Would I stay in the same hotel again - sorry No....
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
use the MRT it is amazing - the subway is easily accessible and gets to your destinations faster and cheaper.

Great location but small beds and expensive

Overall, my stay was ok. Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is good too but pricey. The room is clean, but beds are small. If they could change their single beds into twin beds so that guests will be more comfortable. Location is good, it's near all the big shopping malls, accessible to MRT stations and bus stops.
The price of the hotel is expensive, not worth it for the kind of comfort you are looking for.

Great place for a reasonable price!
Comfortable rooms, right off orchard road, great chinese restaurant.

For its age, the Orchard Hotel manages to provide us with a updated room which rivals that of more higher priced hotels on the same street. Its nearby to the Hilton and by extension locationwise its almost as good. The buffet breakfast which was part of the package had a good variety and was tasty. All in all I felt it was a good stay.
Shopping Tip:
Only stay near orchard if you wish to enjoy fine dining and shopping!!

Orchard hotel is very comfortable after a long flight which helps for unwinded let better, Nightlife is a plus located just metres away but not too close, shopping & restruants are everywhere.
This hotel is also very close to bus routes for easy access to discover Singapore at your leisure.
The breakfast also offers great food choices before to flight out to your next destination.
Travel tip:
All of these options are catered for, you will not be disappointed.

Nice Hotel to stay over for a weekend

overall experience is good. managed to check in early and check out late. staffs are friendly and helpful. breakfast is good too. the room is clean, but the toilet is abit small. location is good, it's near all the big shopping malls, mrt stations, restaurants and bus stops. the price is quite reasonable as compared to the rest of the hotels along orchard road.

Got an upgrade to Club for a few days at a reasonable rate, great Signature Club Lounge area, free Breakfast and free flow wine and beer from 6 to 8 PM...really good deal!
Restaurant Tip:
If you like Seafood such as Chilli Crab, Deep Fried Fish, Crispy Squid etc try Old Ponggol Choon Seng on Greentree Ave just off Dunearn Road. Off the beaten track, not cheap but great food!
