This hotel is not as 5 star as we expected. We arrived at the hotel about 2.30pm but we only given a room about 4.30pm. The front desk receptionist was not so friendly. We were only given welcome drinks after a few complain.
The buffet breakfast also a bit disappointed. The restaurant was too crowded and the service was slow. The bacon was so hard and cold.

Well... what can i say? Shopping is fantastic. The hotel is a little overprized as it is rather old. Need some renovation. The service is close to none. The staff is rather rude

the staffs are polite and readily offer help when asked. we were staying on the 13th floor club room. but we need to proceed to the top floor to check-in instead of the first floor reception which is quite unusual. overall the hotel was very tidy but the air-con was a bit noisy.

Location is the big selling point for this hotel. It takes only 5-10 minutes walk to most of the shopping malls like Ion Orchard etc. I was given a newly refurbished room.

When they did not have our requested room with only one bed they upgraded us for free so we would have what we wanted. The hotel is lovely and close to all the attractions in Singapore. The gym is small but has all you need. The pool and poolside bar were also excellent. I enjoyed our brief stay. I can't rate any hotel in Singapore as being a great value for the money because they are all over priced but I was satisfied with the value for the money at Orchard Hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Right at the end of Orchard Road so you are in the heart the shopping and entertainment.

fairly long walk to the main orchard area. in late evenings, the hotel surrounding area, particularly at the back of building, there's plenty of female escorts walking around and is fairly happening place, yet decent if u just walk your way and ignore them. the only problem they dont have complimentary wifi for guests.

the hotel is not a new hotel.. . but the room is really nice. its make our break and rest time really nice. the room lighting, cleanliness, ameneties was really nice especially the bedding-pillow and blanket quality. ligjting and bathroom are also nice. the staff are also nice. when the phone was not work for the wakeup call. room service staff was visiting me to make sure that we are wake up. they also give solution for our needs such internet connection vailability, concierge and taxi service.. . it makes our experience really really nice.. . it was nice hotel
