many good restaurants near by. my preference is veg resturants, which are plentiful there.

Singapore a great place to visit and to me, Orchard Hotel is one of the better locations to stay in easy to get around.
Shopping Tip:
good shopping, prices a little high, but wide range of choices.

Rooms were far too small for any comfort, beds were as hard as a rock, and room smelt very mouldy on entering.

the orchard hotel is a great hotel to stay in singapore if you intend to do a lot of shopping..the hotel is situated near malls..walking around malls will surely make one fit (lol)..the staff is very accommodating..the hotel exceeded my expectation and will stay here again next time i'll be in singapore..thanks to orchard hotel for making my first visit to singapore a comfortable one..more success to orchard hotel..

It is normal hotel that i think! It takes you a time to go out the orchard road, even the hotel located at orchard road. It looks old and in the building is not nice at all!

Have stayed here before and service is very good. I would recommend this to anyone traveling on business as the location is very convenient, with access to shopping and very good restaurants to be found in the same building.

Warm welcome at reception and warning of renovation works with a choice of rooms to minimize noise disruption. Excellent breakfast buffet with wide choice of Asian and Continental favourites.
Shopping Tip:
Close by Tanglin Silk Store has a wide range of silks and lovely batiks - have the latter made up for shirts or pyjamas.

Great Location with wonderful rooms

Orchard Road being the greatest attraction in Singapore, this hotel is situated in the most ideal location. It is only 5mins away from the major shopping malls and the hotel itself also has a shopping mall. The rooms are above average and the lobby genuinely reflects the class of this hotel. A little over priced during peak seasons, but still I would recommend this hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
There is the most renowned Hard Rock Cafe right across the street from the hotel. Its a little in towards the street so you better look close to find where it is. Wonderful food and terrific ambience.
