Close to Orchard Road shopping. Too close to the pounding drums of the disco. The hotel needed a renewal and refurbishment. If you are not the Disco partying type then avoid staying in low level rooms facing the rear of the hotel. We had a room on the 9th floor and on Saturday night the drums of a nearby disco (Hard Rock Cafe?) went on continuously until 5.30am the next morning. The toilet looked kind of tired. For the security conscious the guest lifts do not require the room card to access.

Room is clean, hotel ambiance is good. The location is good, walking distance to shopping complexes, restaurants, local tour agencies, and public transport. The front desk is helpful, feed us much information and tips about Singapore. Room is clean and decent, equipped with all the facilities, comfortably furnished and with balcony! It felt very relaxing. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

PRIME LOCATION, NEAR BUS, ON SHOPPING AREA OF ORCHARD. GREAT 4 STAR HOTEL A LITTLE FAR FROM A TRAIN The stay was great. Rooms were spacious, pool, lounge area, great customer service. The hotel was worth the price. The only problem is there might be traffic during holiday season around the area since it is such a prime tourist location. It was for sure a 4 star hotel with excellent customer service. You can take the 36 bus back to the airpot directly across from thoe hotel. If you need to leave bags after checkout, the hotel will help you out

Cleanliness is good, Private and secured. We are husband and wife but we were assigned to one single bed connected with each others. It was so wired despite we already stated that we need one bedroom for honeymoon couple.
The fridge was out of order for the whole period we stayed in the hotel. I already informed hotel front desk about this problem on the first day. One staff nodded her head to acknowledge my complaint but nothing was done to fix this problem. Good location, clean, private and secured. Hotel staffs are not so helpful but okay.

Bed comfortable, great location. I had to aske for another room as the one I was given smelt terrible. there were airconditioners from another building right outside the balcony and the noise was too loud. I requested another room and was made to waite until I became more insistent at the lobby. My room was comfortable but a bit rundown for instance the room phone did not work. The view across the pool is the best. I found that it was a great place to access Tanglin and Orchard roads.
I am not sure I'd like to stay there on a return trip.

good if you are shopping.

Hotel is in a good location at the end of the Orchard Rd shopping strip. Decor is old and a bit shabby, carpet ratty, food overpriced, service sneaky, very little (apart from location) to recommend this hotel. Hotel Feature Tip : Stay at a different hotel.

Perfect location for shopaholics...Close to NS22 MRT Absolute lack of professional...no smiles on the front desk staff...the reception phone is never answered Orchard Parade- A Far East Hotel is located bang on the shopping zone of Singapore and is easily accessible from all parts of Singapore...Walking distance from NS22 MRT.Talking about the hotel, not much to add.
Hotel Feature Tip : It is quite a tall building and if you can get one of the top floors, the view is amazing

1.very close (5 minutes) to Orchard MRT station and shopping area (Isetan, Takashimaya etc)
2.Starbucks coffee at Level 1 is excellent for breakfast
3.it is still quiet if room is faced pool floor at Level 6 even just beside Orchard Road 1.TV is very small & old and not LC
2.shampoo is not good for hair and it may be damaged easily. it has to be chosen to good quality one.
3.Interior & facility are mostly old and required to renew. It is valuable to stay at this price and the location is very close from Orchard area and to walk back from MRT and restaurant. There is a pool with with trees which people can be relaxed. All the staff is very friendly and kind.

The location is central, the hotel offers a good restaurant variety, all with excellent food, a comfortable and quaint little bar in the centre of the lobby with charming and friendly staff, excellent little gift shop. Excellent service in every aspect of the hotel. We loved the swimming pool as it was clean and outdoors so we were able to enjoy the full moon above making our experience extra special. Not many cons. I feel the shops in the lobby take up spaces that could be of more use to tourists. There are enough shops on Orchard Rd. and beyond to accomodate any shopping desires. Hotel internet too expensive. In all our travels through SE Asia only twice did we have to pay and the other one was inexpensive. The hotel lobby offers a 5 star ambience noticable when you first enter from outside. The staff very proffessioal and eager to please. There is a fabulous restaurant within the hotel, yet privately owned called Grandma's that were open conveniently from 10:30 AM til 10:30 PM, which was appreciated because we always got back from our day hungry and late. The food can be classed as 5 star with a Malysian flare to it thanks to the expert Chef from Malaysia who owns other restaurants as well but thankfully chooses to reside in Singapore. Each meal left us planning our next meal, there! All in all I would definately stay at the Orchard Parade Hotel again and again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The MRT Station is only 2 blocks walking distance away from the hotel so think about where you are going before you hail that cab! The monorail is clean, fast and very cheap! Don't forget to redeem your ticket upon arrival of your destignated station making your cost around $1.20 US to go across town. Also, no need to take a tour to Little India or Chinatown. The MRT goes to both and a tour has you on a short time limit and it isn't enough time to do any exploring. Singapore isn't very big and taxi's are fair priced so give your business to them before a tour company.

Need more seating in the lounge. The hotel is in a very good location and near to MRT station so traveling around is made easier. There are good food outlets nearby so having inexpensive and good meals is easy. The hotels in Singapore generally over charge for internet services which is a rip off. Some countries are proving free internet whereas Singapore is still ripping visitors off.
Travel tip : Nice food court across the street.

Polite and helpful staff.
Room was a little tired looking. The Orchard Parade hotel is in an excellent location near shopping, restaurants, and with easy access to public transportation. The room was a good size, clean, and quiet but could do with some freshening up. The staff was polite and efficient. There were some amenities in the room (safe, iron, coffee maker) but not as many in the bathroom as I would expect for this class of hotel (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, and bath gel). If you want central location, reasonably priced, and pleasant staff the Orchard Parade would meet your needs.

great connection by MTR
Direct on Orchard road
Clean hotel room/bathroom tell me... i don't have one We arived with three kids in the evening, at the counter without any question we get a free upgrade towards a famaly room. This room is great, dubbel and two single beds! Nice, clean hotel to stay and start you traveling trip, swiming pool is oke, Starbugs bellow on the corner. Orchard road is around start at the corner and 500 meter walk distance towards a MTR station, no problem to travel by MTR towards the hotel.
Shopping Tip : Orchard road is very close, also on the other site of the road is a supermarket at 300 meters.
