the hotel constitutes with unexpected spacious rooms in the area close to city center. there are quite alot variable food can be acquired around, including a food market at the 2f of a local community opposite to hotel, we have also tried the buffet at the 3f of hotel, which is an one value for money.
ten minutes walk, can reach chinatown, and the famous temple.
one disavatage is there is no drive in lane for the hotel, if you have big luggage, the taxi can only pull over at the street, good thing is the staff of the hotel is very pleased to help out.
currently, there is a new hotel under contruction at the side of orchid front entrace side. if you have to stay in room late during day time, better ask the staff of the counter give you a room at the other side.

Great Value, good location

Booked in 2 nights at night which was about night cheaper than anything similar. Location is good, close enough to walk to Chinatown and across from Tanjong Pagar MRT. Rooms were nice and the hotel has a pool and gym.
One catch was that when I searched on Agoda for hotels for 2 adult an 1 child, this hotel never came up in the results, but if I searched only 2 adults it did. Every deluxe room has 1 queen and 1 single bed so not sure why this is. Then when we arrived at the hotel they wanted to charge us night extra(!!!) for our child. I was going to walk out and they let us stay with no extra charge. So for /night for 3 people it was an absolute bargain. Will stay here again next time If I get the same deal.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Singapore is expensive if you go to the touristy.mall type attractions. Stick to the markets ie Chinatown, and Bugis and holiday in SG for cheap.

Chose this hotel again for its value compare to other hotels in Singapore and also for its location. Just opposite the Tanjung Pagar MRT. Same Breakfast food everday is not good.
