Good Location
near to mrt, lots of dine places, supermarket nearby

i enjoyed staying at this hotel. it's like 5 minutes walk from the mrt. the room is clean, with classic style. if you stay in the suites, they are giving complimentary tea / coffee (self service on 16 floor).
the only minus is the walls are too thin. i can hear next door's people chatting. it's a bit uncomfortable, because at night all i want is a peace and quite time.
the location is close to the city, with bus going to vivo, city hall. so far, it's an enjoyable stay. i certainly would love to come back.

From our initial Reception right through to our departure we could not have asked for better Service.
The Desk Staff were both polite & Friendly.
The Porter was exceptional - Nothing was a "trouble" to him & anything that we asked for was delivered with promptness & a courteous "Is there anything else, Sir" ?.
The food service was good but was certainly not geared to Australian palates - No Cereals, No Yoghurt or similar Australian style food, but there was fresh fruit, toast, eggs, bacon, sausages & good quality (real) Coffee.
The room was both large & well appointed.
Good quality bed & bathroom linen.
The carpet was immaculately clean & the Housekeeping changed everything for "clean", every day.
Directions were provided to find locations that we did not already know & there was an air of being "Helpful" from every member of staff.
We would most definitely stay there again & certainly recommend it to any of our Friends going to Singapore.
I have stayed at in at least 20 different Hotels in Singapore over a number of years & the Orchid is about as good as any other that I have stayed at.

Good functional hotel and excellent location for transportation. The room was kept very clean and with little or no noise heard from other guests rooms or corridors. The suite we had could have been improved by having a small sofa as well as the 2 chairs and a small table but otherwise quite spacious. Storage drawers and wardrobe space was limited but manageable. Overall a very good hotel if you do not desire all the trappings of a 5 star hotel's lobby services.
Restaurant Tip:
Abundant choice of restuarants, bars, hawker centres and coffee shops.

Great location, Big room, but simple breakfast

the hotel is located right outside the tanjong pagar station, it’s less than 1 minute walk to go to the hotel from exit a.
the room is big with 1 queen size bed and 1 twin bed. we are a family of 5 but we were able to sleep comfortably.
the toilet is pretty spacious too with leather tiles.
the only downside is that they don’t regularly refill the soaps, shampoos, conditioner, lotions, toothpaste coffee and tea. for me, i think they should regularly refill these things because it is included in the room rate that you paid. although, in fairness to them, they are pretty quick when i asked for these items.
we forgot to bring a universal socket so we borrowed a socket in the reception. they only allow 1 socket per room.
the gym is small but there is no one using it so it’s okay.
the food is very simple and few.
