Close to shopping, good value. Pan Pacific Orchard is a luxury hotel with most of what you'd expect combined with an excellent location just off Orchard Road with its shopping. Service is friendly but at times a touch uneven. Breakfast buffet is good, with the omelettes, congee, smoked salmon, tropical fruit and croissants you'd hope for (but no bagels, alas!) Rooms are modern and attractive but could use a touch more warmth. Cable TV doesn't have enough channels -- and no Fox! The 24/7 gourmet supermarket steps away from the hotel is another plus. Yes, I'd come back if the price was right, but do wish they'd add cable channels and put bagels on the breakfast buffet.
Shopping Tip : Gourmet supermarket (Jaosn's) open 24/7 just steps away.

Friendly staff, decent room, good part of town, decent breakfast buffet. Nice swimming pool. Little things. In Room 704, the message light on the phone could not be turned off. Sometimes there was no smoked salmon on the breakfast buffet, and no bagels! Wish you would just provide fresh sheets and towels automatically and spare us the little signs about saving the environment. Oh -- and please get more channels on the cable TV! Especially Fox. Oh, and you need more and better equipment for weight training. The Pan Pacific Orchard is good value for money. It is located near Orchard's extensive shopping, with contemporary furniture and comfortable rooms. Although the TV could use more channels and the breakfast buffet more variety, it's still a very pleasant place to spend a few nights in Singapore. Staff is very friendly and competent, so you know things will be taken care of promptly and correctly. Good food and excellent location.
Shopping Tip : Jason's, a 24 hour gourmet supermarket, is located just next door.

It is fine for a holiday stay as it is near orchard road, but it is at one end of orchard road and to go to the other areas in Orchard will need walking and public transportation.
