Great location but aging hotel
6
Had issues with their definition of "premier" rooms. One was two singles another a queen with much better room size. One smelt like cigarettes the other ultra clean.
Front desk staff very in experienced but senior staff very good. Hotel restaurant (Coleman Cafe) is not great but staff are excellent.
Confusing mix of indifference, good location and cost vs ability to say "I would stay there again".
Shopping Tip:
Shop local at Raffels City etc. Walk to Merlion at night for best experience. Orchard road overrated.

Clean comfortable room
Good gym and swimming pool, crisp clean room
8.7
Our room was lovely and modern with a great view. The gym was also well equipped as it is too hot to run or do exercise outside. Front reception weren't overly friendly (did not smile at all!) but were very efficient. Disappointed that at this price that the internet wi-fi was not included, and no breakfast included. I am aware that Singapore is expensive to stay in, but the internet at the very least should have been included. Also, access to the top floor via the lift would have been ideal also.

Great location with clean, tidy room
Location was very near Raffles and some nice parklands:Room was clean and tidy and had tea making facilities: Beds were comfortable.
6.3
We were on the way home and had stayed at a more upmarket hotel on the forward leg so that probably coloured our views! We arrived early and had a long wait till a room was ready but the staff were helpful and the lobby area quite capacious. The buffet breakfast looked tired and the dining room was quite messy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walk around to Raffles Hotel in the evening and enjoy a quiet drink in the courtyard.

Great Location
Near to City Hall MRT, Foodcourts and a walking distance to Merlion
8
To bad we had a late check in but because of that, our room got upgraded (I presume).
So close to City Hall MRT, a lot of 24 hr convenience store.
The room was great, we had two rooms with connecting since my wife's parents also join the trip.
Bathroom was quite small but not so bad.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't trust the tourist center in the lobby, they might give you a wrong information.

good central location
location at the city center
7.3
the rooms were maintained clean throughout our stay - one thing i actually liked about the hotel was the housekeeping. however, for a 4 star hotel, the room facilities could have been better. it seems like the hotel has not been updated as much. the breakfast was reasonably good with a variety of food to choose from. customer service, on the other hand, could be upgraded. for example, there can be assistance with the luggage when arriving from the airport with our heavy luggage. some attention to small details would make this hotel feel like more 4 star.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Gardens by the Bay just beyond the Marina Sands is a must-see - large outdoor gardens with picturesque views.

We had a pleasant stay at the Peninsula i wish we could have stayed longer,me and my family were satisfied specially to the quality of service that they provided.Breakfast at the hotel was good because of the variety of dishes served.I will definitely come back on my next trip to Singapore.
Travel tip:
Take a Taxi from the airport instead of the airpoty shuttle if you are travelling in a group of 3 to 4 persons.

This is the second time me staying at Peninsula Excelsior Hotel. The counter staffs are very friendly and will greet everyone with a warm smile. Though the hotel exterior looks old, the rooms are nicely renovated and rooms are in modern, clean and comfortable condition. They have a nice and comfortable cushion sette at the window, where we can sit and enjoy the great view.
