Good location and great room
My room was on the 17 th floor and had been refurbished - great. Breakfast was an excellent buffet and the free internet in my room was very handy...

the staff were all extremely helpful, no matter which part of the hotel you were in. the it section were helpful in connecting my ipad to internet. the hotel was handy to the mrt and not far from the river. not necessarily the flashiest hotel but very comfortable and convenient.

A little disappointment in the Garden city

When we arrived, we were told by the bellman to park our car downstairs and we realised that there was no escalater to bring us up to the hotel lobby. We have to walk up the narrow yet dim staircase with our luggage to the concierge. No one assist us to the hotel lobby since the lobby is a few stories up from the place we walked up to! This is definitely not Singapore standard and is not 4 star hotel standard!

the hotel located between two mrt (mass rapid transit)station where one of the station (city hall station) is an interchange station which make the access to everywhere in singapore easy. beside, by foot we can walk to the famous night market and have great fun of night life in clark quay (at clark quay station). by the other direction (city hall station) where a great shopping centre just ontop of the station where we can shop and have variety of good food. if you are game for distant walking, you can walk all the way from the hotel to marine sand casino and enjoy good view of the beauty of singapore.

I arrived very early in the morning and check-in time was not until 2:00. Thankfully the staff did their best to get a room earlier for me, so I only had to wait 2 hours. The room was fine, but the bathroom is a bit small and difficult to move around in. At first, the room smelled like someone had smoked in it, but that was only when I first entered. After that, I did not notice it. The lack of free internet was a drawback. Broadband is available in the rooms, and wifi is available in the lobby area, but it is quite expensive. Also, I purchased two hours of wifi thinking that it was a use-as-you-go service, but it wasn't. My hours expired 2 hours after I first logged on.
Shopping Tip:
This hotel is next door from Funan Digital Mall and just down the street from Raffles City. Great for shopping.

- Staff not very friendly
- Faucet in the bathroom very bad design. When you open the faucet, the water spread out to the floor. If you open very very slow water, is OK.
- Room cleaning staff very bad. When I came back in to my room, switched on the TV, no TV program appeared. When I check, TV cable was pulled out from the TV.Vey bad "Joke" from your staff. Not funny at all. The staff need more decipline training!
