the peninsula-excelsior hotel in colemen street is very central to many intersting features of singapore including many shopping malls, the singapore underground (mass rapid transport smrt)and a useful stopping off point for |sensosa island, the jurong bird park and the singapore zoological gardens. it is only a short walk to orchard road where the majority of the good shopping is to be done.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The Hotel is very comfortable and the staff pleasant and attentive.

Peninsula has become my destination hotel everytime I visit Singapore. Its friendly service and great location is my consideration that make me and my family don't want to try another hotel. the room look more modern and clean.

The hotel is close to City Hall MRT. You can walk to the MRT within ten minutes. You can also walk to the river in about 20 minutes. There is a shopping mall next to the hotel. You can have food and coffee there if you do not want hotel breakfast.
It is easy to get a taxi in the morning but difficult to get a taxi in the evening outside the hotel. The bad thing is that the hotel charges the use of internet. I did not get a non-smoking room until 5:30 p.m.

With the pricing it charged, the service quality is very questionable. For me to ask for house keeping service, it normally requires me to make two calls and wait for an hour before the item can be delivered. During late evening, concerige had made a mistake to phone up my room claiming to deliver my luggage which was not the case, and yet no apology was made.
Hotel Feature Tip:
This hotel has nothing related to Peninsula nor Excelsior group. There are lot more other hotel have better value for money
