This review is not complete because the hotel and its twin next door were undergoing refurbishment. We did not sample the food services because when we are in Singapore we like to eat 'local' for authenticity. Hotel is well located for shopping and sightseeing. Room and bathroom were of enough size for an overnight stay and comfortable and well appointed,

Singapore Peninsula Excelsior Review

The Peninsula Excelsior is in a great location in Singapore and is a relatively clean and well-maintained hotel. The staff are friendly, but the majority of them are quite young and seem a little bit inexperienced with customer service.
The room was very clean and in good condition, except for the fact that the shower door only covered half of the shower and so water would spill onto the floor. Also, the Internet connection is amazingly slow in the evening (although it's fine up until about noontime).
Overall, the hotel is good value for the money.

Again I cannot over complement this hotel since they are consistent in providing the service that should be expected and in other hotels both here in Singapore and in the region. The value for money through Agoda is very good and simply removes any worries or problems so I can focus on what I am here for and that is for business. For me to be effective I need to have a good nights sleep a good power shower and all the amenities to ensure I function efficiently and I am in the right state of mind. Possibly some readers may think I am over egging this recommendation but this is the importance I attach to staying in a hotel on a very frequent basis.

Taxi rank outside but you can walk to raffles place for a nice dinner.

You Must select the p tower if it's possible. the rooms in c tower may not have bathtub. All the other stuff is okay. But some times hard to take a taxi

Great location but a bit pricey
The place was near everything and very convenient. Rooms were large and comfortable.

My husband and I liked the central location of the hotel- very near the MTR, the bus stops, the malls, the sights as well as different kinds of food. Our room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke on the first day of our stay, but it went away after it was cleaned the next day. The staff were nice and courteous, the rooms were big and spacious. The view was not bad at all. Like all hotels in Singapore, the room rates were relatively pricey compared to its counterparts in other Southeast Asian cities.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Cabs are abundant and cab drivers are very nice. If travelling with companions, it is cheaper and more convenient to split the bill than to be inconvenienced by bus and MTR rides.

Very good location and very nice hotel in singapore. From outside it looks old hotel but inside its very clean. Rooms are giving sea view to merlion point. Breakfast is good variety. Nice place to walk and see the place, supermarket is next door. overall, very pleasant experience and would definitely stay again.

Overall this is a good hotel. We only stayed there one night. Our double room was a good size although the bathroom was minute... our sons had a twin room which really, size wise, was a joke. They are both over 6ft tall so moving around the room was nearly impossible. The room should have only had one single bed in it... it was so tiny!!!!!
We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food.
Reception staff weren't very helpful and were very slow!
Hotel is in a great location within walking distance to most attractions and the SIA hop on/hop off bus stops just down the road. Will we stay there again??? I'm not sure. Will probably shop around again and see what's on offer..
Nothing stood out to make this hotel mentionable....

Convenient clean Business hotel

This is a modern business hotel understated beats many 5 star hotels in Singapore with service and amenities. I have stayed here again and again on business and am always happy with service as I am here on business working late and dont want any problems. Facilities include 2 swimming pools and a gym.
The hotel is conveniently located to my office but many shopping malls and access to the train system is less than 5 mins walk. Taxi's are always available.
Overall a continued good impression.

Avoid the annex facing the firestation or get a high floor.
