Good hotel, excellent location

Singapore hotels are expensive and it's always difficult to find that fine line between paying too much or staying in a pokey, shabby room. For about we had a clean, well appointed room with sufficient space and a good view. It's in an excellent location- a few minutes from MRT, a great food court around the corner and the peace and tranquility of Fort Canning Park 2 minutes away. The real bonus for us was being able to relax by the pool for our stop-over.
Our taxi dropped us off in Coleman St and we entered at the unattended baggage counter, that we mistook for Reception. We waited 10 minutes until baggag boy returned and advised us to take the lift to the lobby. It would be good if a sign was placed at the ground floor entrance directing patrons to Reception.

When arrived at the hotel, the lobby was very big and nice, was actually amazed as the outside of the hotel looks kinda rundown. Checked in at 2.30 and was given room instantly. Room size is ok for 2 pax and it can actually fit 2 king size beds..got the room with esplanade view and so it was very nice at night, even thou u can see the construction cranes in front...location is awesome as its near clarke, city hall..didnt try the breakfast but theres funan it mall by the side where u can have ur bfast there..would come again..

the staff is very helpful at the check in and accommodate the wishes. rooms are decent size for singapore. the biggest plus of this hotel is the proximity to raffles city shopping area and city hall mrt. breakfast is decent but i think a bit overpriced.

great location , friendly and helpful staff

The location is perfect in the city hall area , we walked to raffles, everything else a very short taxi ride
the room was a bargain price, and a few things didn't work ( safe, internet etc ) but they were fixed in minutes by a very attentive staff.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, great shower

I stayed one night in transit and wanted to avoid the silly prices in Orchard Road hotels. Nice location for boat quay,clark quay night life and 10 minutes from two MRT stations at clark quay and city hall. Room was bland but large bathroom, comfortable bed, and very quiet. Great shower after 20 hour flight. Internet easy to use and worked fine. Not very friendly check in (common problem in Singapore)S$50 deposit requested which may reflect on hotel clientèle. Very strict on check out time. Be careful of left luggage security as 3 of us had to find our own luggage. Did not eat in hotel as many eating places in nearby area.

Great location and very friendly service

The room was a little small but very nice view of Singapore harbour. Location is great, very easy to navigate to public transportation and is in the heart of the CBD.
Restaurant Tip:
Try Ya Kun Kaya toast for breakfast, there are tons of locations and it's a true Singapore staple.

Amazing hotel!

After staying in several hotels in Singapore over the last couple of years, this is the best!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
MRT is a few minutes walk, very central location to go anywhere you want.

hotel is pretty old but well maintained. rooms are relatively clean and spacious. located near to shopping malls but not so near to orchard. will have to take the train or taxi. clarke quay is really near. lots of nightlife, drinking place and clubs. would recommend for business travellers and families
