The hotel is located within walking minutes of major shopping center. Its a 5 minute taxi ride to Orchard Road. The hotel itself as a whole was great. The reception desk was very helpful and friendly. Once you arrived you were treated with class and respect. They take your bags and deliver them to your room. The swimming pool area is a great place to just relax and unwind. What really impressed me was the room. They were large and very clean. Internet charges were a little to high and the internet was slow. For such a classy hotel they could have provided better irons. The irons they use were plan electric irons with no steam. Shopping Tip : There is a great mall right behind the hotel that has everything you may need. If you walk down the street 1 block you will see another mall that has great items as well.

Don't bother with breakfast service. Food is really poor and you'll end up smelling like the kitchen.

good room facilities and cleaness maid opened the door in morning withour ringing the bell.i was never informed that hotel was under renovation so very noisy good facilities inside the room.very spacious and clean room.smiling and helpful front desk staff.but they opened the room door in morning for cleaning without ringing the bell with their key.

Good location (near MRT station and walking distance to Merlion Park), friendly and helpful staff can't do early check in. The room was not ready before 2 pm Overall I'm satisfied with the condition and service of the hotel. Definitely will go there on my next visit to Singapore. The room was clean and the bathroom is nice. The facilities were also OK. The staff was very helpful especially to give us info about our direction to the tourist site and the location is the most valuable thing about this hotel. It's only 3 minutes walk to the City Hall MRT station and Raffles City Mall only five minutes walk. You also can walk to the Merlion Park. Good value for money. Very recommended.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Please check the lower ground staff (concierge) for the free tour. You can also go anywhere in Singapore by MRT (the nearest station is 3 mins walk)

it locates in the heart of the city. very conbvenient to MRT and other shoppings. Easy to find food. Service of the front desk is so slow and confusing. I stayed at penninsular for a night. the location is very convenient right at the heat of the city surrounded by MRT, food shop, shopping center and IT center. The room is nice and have quite a good view. Water is running ok and room is clean. But the problem is the reception. I asked for non-smoking room but i was put to the smoking room. I asked for the change. They switched me to a room at the other tower and said it's non-smoking room. I have to move my luggages from tower to tower and when I get in the lift i can see at the number floor button that my floor is a smoking room. When I get out of the lift i can smell cigarrette. But I was too tired to switch the room again and luckily that my room didn't have strong smell. And i think i stay for just a night!!!

Excellent newly refurbished room, and the shower and bathroom was superb. Close to City Hall MRT. Reception is on the first floor... not directly at the entrance which is a little confusing. I stayed in the Excelsior tower. I was upgraded, and the room was recently refurbished,to a very high standard with great views of Fort Canning Park. Excellent value for money, in a very good location.

- free internet with some agoda bookings
- there are washing machines and dryers that you can use for SG$10 for a whole load. ask housekeeping for the 'laundry key'
- new tower has renovated rooms - penninsula tower - ask for this.
- friendly housekeeping staff
- very close to city hall MRT station - hotel is 'older'
- beds are slightly less comfortable than others in this price range
- guests are relatively 'touristy', less sophisticated traveler crowd stays here. overall a pleasant stay, there are some better value / price deals on agoda, but this is a good location next to city hall MRT station and the newly renovated rooms (if you get one) are fine.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : this hotel is in a good location to do a self-guided walking tour to the singapore river area.

Good location, saving time on touring.
Nice Pools.
Instant responses when help needed. Good location, saving time on touring - near to various spots like Clarke, Esplanade, Flyer, etc. a minute walk to various malls and City Hall MRT station which can go to China Town, Little India, Orchard within several stations.
Nice Pools - guests can use the pools in both towers of Peninsula and Excelsior. We love that called The Falls in Peninsula side. We brought with our 3-year-old daughter. She loved to play with the falling water and enjoyed with laughter. While another pool in Excelsior is good too. It has a more open view. Must spare some time in using the pools.
We stayed in a room with a good view of Espanade, Flyer, the new Supreme Court, etc. not facing the Excelsior Tower. We were on the 13rd floor which is quite high enough to view the scene. I think higher level should be even better.
One more thing, the services can be regarded as good. The electricity was cut suddenly when using the hairdryer in the bathroom in two of our stays. We called the operator and the electricity resumed shortly. The staff rang our door bell, seeing if we were ok with that. From this, we think their services is satisfactory and instant. But the hairdryer problem should be dealt with to avoid inconvenience to the guests.
Hotel Feature Tip : Families with kids should spare time to enjoy the pools, esp. The Falls in Peninsula Tower.

Location, easy access to MRT, room/bathroom cleanliness Entrance to the hotel looks a bit shabby; concierge area was too packed with luggage, obstructing access to the lift What I love most about this hotel is the location. It is only 3 mins walk to the City Hall MRT. Cheap, heart-warming Asian food is also easily available in the nearby shopping centers. Although relatively small, both room and bathroom are also clean. Am not complaining though, you get what you pay for--and even more. I would definitely return and recommend this hotel to others.

Handy, staff helpful, close to what we needed Big hotel, expensive internet (but free wifi?) we had 5 nights in singapore and this was all we needed. The hotel was modern, the room a good size and really just perfect for what we needed, which was a comfortable base for sightseeing. It is only a couple of minutes from Raffles, the new asia bar (74th floor - well worth a visit!) and so many great shopping locations and restaurants. The pools were good, the service fine, and cant complain about anything really. Internet was pricey, but there are so many other places nearby that you can go so no need really. 2 minutes walk is the Chijmes centre, which is a beautiful little square with good restaurants and bars, so we were there most nights, and could easily walk to Clarke Quay, china town, and a few other spots. didnt really need anything else!

The hotel was quite large and the surroundings were very nice and premium. The cleanliness of the room was evaluated as very good. The staff was polite and helpful. The only thing I didnt like about this hotel was the luggage delivery delay. It took me a long time to wait for my luggages delivered to my room after check-in. The Peninsula Excelsior Singapore was very good as overall. Though there was some trouble about the luggages in the first day, it was still good to stay with a convenient transportation around hotel, not too far from shopping center and restaurants. It's not the dangerous zone for tourists.

Early Check in was not a problem, massive bed, gorgeous view. Air con was a bit noisy, and you could hear everything in the corridor outside. The room I booked came with breakfast and free internet, on arrival (very early) the staff were fantastic, took me to the sky lounge for check in, offered breakfast/coffee etc and the whole process was very easy.
Restaurant Tip : Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance! Get out and explore!
