we paid for a standard room and were happy to be upgraded to a suite on the 35th floor of the excelsior tower which was so nice and comfortable. breakfast and internet were included, internet was fast, breakfast was average, we had dinner at the peninsular tower skylounge which is really pricey eg. $8 for a can of coke! it was a nice dinner though, they gave us 20% off the total bill, possibly because there was no one dining. you can watch the marina bay sands lazer show from the restaurant at 8pm as well!

i went here because it was #1 on trip advisor. i was surprised to see the setting - it was just like any other street restaurant and only outside dining. but still i gave it a try. it was interesting. i could see why so many loved the service, it was truly the most friendly i have recieved in singapore. the food was good, above average, but not worthy of number 1 on tripadvisor, singapore.

The hotel is situated in a convenient area that is close to MRT and other public transportation. Overall the hotel offers pretty good service and the customer service is quite friendly. However, the rooms and bathrooms are quite small plus some areas are a little noisy at night due to activities at the club. There are decent selection of restaurants and fast food chains around the hotel as well as at nearby mall about 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel.

love the location, 5 mins walk frm cityhall station, various of hang out place around such as the chimes, esplanade, etc. check in process was speedy, the hotel staff was very efficient. stay at smoking floor, good air circulation and room was fresh and did not smells.
Restaurant Tip:
If you are looking for supper, the hawker centre at Esplanade offer variaties of food at very affordable price compare to the cafes or restaurant in that area.

This hotel is close to malls like citylink and funan mall. I like that it is right next to the mrt station. You could be at somerset or orchard road to continue your shopping spree in just a few minutes. What i dont like about this hotel is that it is old. And that they do not clean the rooms well enough. And they don't give extension when you want to check out a little later than 12 nn.
Shopping Tip:
Use mrt when shopping. It is convenient and the malls are connected to the train stations.
