The good thing I like about the hotel is its location and cleanliness. The room is very small and actually would be difficult to fit 2 people. You'll have problem if you have a large suit cases. The bed is a bit soft and low. The washing basin is actually in the living room which you can imagine the room setting is a bit strange. I've stayed in this hotel before but this time I've got a room at ground floor which you could see shadows of people walking outside which I found a bit wired.

Great Location but extremely small rooms
New hotel located right in the middle of China town area very near to MRT station

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights of my business trip. The room is extremely small (single room) and there is only one small window. However the location is good and staff are very helpful.

Very cramy and dark rooms

Rooms are very, very small and tight....no space to open luggage. Not recommended for claustorphobics. Although clean, some rooms have no windows. Reception staff are not courteous and are unfriendly. They are not flexible for late checkouts. Lighting in rooms is very bad. We asked for additional light/lamp as some of our lights in the room were not working but received neither an apology nor any service. Very dissappoiting and not worth the amount spent.
Shopping Tip:
Very close to Chinatown markets.

Nice location in Chinatown Singapore, small room.
Great location near the Chinatown MRT station and food stalls, nice staff, clean room although the space is so small.

i had a pleasant stay although the space of my room is so small and no breakfast (which makes the room rate a little too expensive). the cleaning staff should've been more attentive. i had to rang the receptionist to ask for more liquid soap in the evening because it was not available by the time i wanted to take a bath (the room was already cleaned up in the afternoon).
Nightlife Tip:
Do not miss the street food stalls and small shops at Pagoda Street, usually open until 10-11 p.m. Tasting the Singaporean Chilli Crab is a must. :)

Location, style, and price

Having stayed at Porcelain Hotel before, I know that there are 'better' rooms, but the room I stayed in this time (top floor, under the roof) was not made for anyone taller than 170 cm/5.5 feet or so. Examples? Well, the bed was so short that I had to curl up so as not to hit my head and feet on the walls on either end of the bed, i.e., the bed was crammed in a tiny nook that obviously did not allow for a regular-size bed. My hair touched the ceiling of the bathroom when I was standing straight. Anyway, I generally like the Porcelain Hotel, but this particular room they put me in this time should be used for storage and not for their guests.

Creative use of space
Very good location, good service
7.3
I was given a free upgrade, which was nice. Clean. The rooms have been designed very creatively - the WC is within the enlarged shower cubicle, the closet is within a 3' high partition. There's a hip feel to the rooms but I missed the comfort of a more traditional room (e.g. having a dry toilet, being able to hang my dress up).
Another downside is that the room felt humid (split aircon in a windowless room with glass sliding door on toilet).
I would stay here again if price was right.

Good location never mind the small rooms
a block away from MRT station and souvenir shops
7.3
no problem checking in, already booked and paid advanced. we were out most of the time so never mind the small rooms. i was quite good enough but there's no closet or not enough space to put our luggages so we put it below the space under the bed or elevated level were the bed mattresses are. the complimentary water replenished everyday, there's a small fridge in the room. have not used the safe but there's one. the toilet and bath was big enough. nice "porcelain" theme...with the bedroom light and the toilet mirror. although there's only a few tv channels...it was better than nothing. the reception was quite happy to assist us when we requested a universal socket and an extra pillow, free of charge! the location is quite away from the said red light district so fair enough. overall it was a good stay from check in to check out! we have not tried the spa services coz for me it was expensive for a body massage...hmmm
