good location right at the center of china town within only 50m away from china town station. so very convenient location to travel around by mrt. lots of nice food to find all 24 hrs.
however, room is very small. will be good for sleep only.

I was not expecting a big room for a boutique hotel, however this was below my expectations in many ways. I was told they gave me a free upgrade to 'executive' but upon googling it is actually still the std queen room.
1) there are no windows, so the next morning i will never know if the sun is up and wake up in pitch darkness
2) the sink is actually behind the bed and after using the sink for washing up, the whole floor area is wet but the minimal; tiles under the sink is not enough to cover the area that could be exposed with dropping water
3) the 2 pillows are too soft and no support. when asked for extra pillow at the counter, they only had 1 left, suggesting that most of the guests needed extra pillows.
4) the cable tv channels selection is very limited. only 8 channels. out of which 5 is free to air channels.
5) there is no full length mirror
6) there is only 1 high stool which is not enough for a room meant for 2
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Chinatown has alot of good local food, and you can try the one i believed on smith street where it is open air.
DO NOT eat at those restaurant/cafe along the main road where people taut you with their menus to go in or have a seat. these are not local Singapore food but food from northern china and operated by them i believed. Nothing against them but i believed if you are in signapore you must try local food which is cheap and good. those that are good have no one tauting you and natually have long queues. the best is to go to the hawker center nearby.
directly opposite this hotel there is a korean restaurant called TOGI. if you dont like sg food or miss korean food, you can try. the queue is quite long.

Comfy hotel, comfy room and can get rowdy at night when the drunken crowd comes in. Can hear everything in the corridor but other than it, it is quite comfortable room. Ask for the upper floor when possible.

The Porcelain Hotel is a small boutique hotel located in the exotic Chinatown of Singapore. The rooms are very small, almost claustrophobic (no windows) but clean and the beds are comfortable. The room size did not bother us, we spent our time in town and were in the room only for sleeping which was perfect since it was quiet and clean with good air conditioning.
Shopping Tip:
Harnn has a shop in Chinatown with fabulous aromatic oils and all kinds of SPA products, worth a visit even though very expensive indeed.

Very clever use of space and design
Not a silly price for an artistic compact hotel handy to real Singapore

First time staying I was very happy.The Taxi rank right outside making coming and going quick. Very small but adequate room cleverly fitting in all the essentials.
Stunning light feature depicting a classic porcelain design in the ceiling back lit. Small windows allowing some light but very quiet as it wasn't on the street edge. The staff friendly, welcoming and thanks for the upgrade. I will be back next year to Singapore as I have done for 22 years without missing.
This boutique hotel is definitely on my list of the best small hotels of China town.
