Presently a favourite breakfast nook for many, the restaurant serves a delectable buffet of Northern Indian fare for lunch and dinner. Ambience, quality of rooms & furnishings, service
Late night check in was not as enjoyable as I would have expected. Night staff on front desk seems unwilling to resolve our question whether breakfast was included or not.
The experience of staying at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore was unforgettable. The ambience, quality of rooms & furnishings, and of course the service was excellent. The hotel staff were very helpful with the exception of a night staff on the front desk who seemed unwilling to resolve our question whether breakfast was included or not. However, the butler service made up for any shortcomings and was always prompt. The location of the hotel is very convenient for business as well as shopping & eating out and entertainment. Our stay was on the occassion of our wedding aniversary and we shall never forget the wonderful time we had at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. The special rate with one night free was an opportunity we could not miss.
Nightlife Tip : Walk across North Bridge Road and enjoy a drink in the open air at night at Chimes restaurant & bar complex.

Location, room size, amenities
We stayed at The Raffles because of it's reputation as a first class hotel. The suites are beautifully appointed, and our family fit comfortably. The hotel felt private, like a quiet oasis in the middle of the busy city. It also felt exclusive as the public does not have access to much of the hotel. The colonial details are a nice touch. Given the typical room rate, I highly rocommend choosing to stay at The Raffles if you find a special on agoda!
Hotel Feature Tip : Rather than picking up the phone to call for room service, a wake-up call, or any other service, you can hit a 'butler' button. A staff member will either kindly call or walk to your room to see what they can do for you!

Many leading hotels have built their reputation on imitating one another. The Raffles in Singapore has never done that - it has its own way of giving each guest an individual welcome.
From the moment that the doorkeeper helps you out of your car and welcomes you, you are made to feel that all the hotel cares about is your individual needs and preferences. The rooms, surroundings food and service are all superb and with your own butler ready to be summoned at the touch of a button, what else could one desire? I have visited the Raffles over a 45-year period - it remains superb and unique.
Shopping Tip : Ideally placed for the leading shops - if you can overcome the temptation to stay in the hotel all the time!
