I enjoyed a three night stay at Raffles in the company of one my sons.. Living on different continents as we do I was looking for somewhere special to rendezvous and relax for a few days. Raffles certainly lived up to all of our expectations. However, aside from the fantastic ambience, great central location and wonderful in house dining options it is the hospitality of the staff that requires extra special commendation. From the general manger to a grounds person they are amongst the most most respectful and polite a staff that I have come across anywhere. All I can say is that from a personal point of view I would not consider staying anywhere else in Singapore.

Amazing hotel
Service, Location, Rooms are spacious
9.7
I loved my stay at the Raffles. The rooms are magnificent and the service is great. The breakfast is well worth it, with a buffet plus a la carte menu (you can order a omelette, pancakes, juices, coffee, etc - all included in the breakfast price).

Great old-fashioned hotel
You can use alot of time just walking around in this fine hotel
9.3
The staff at Raffles hotel take good care of people when they arrive , check in and out was very smooth . They told us that we will get a welcome drinks ( Singapore sling of course ) , but nobody showed up with the drink and also no bottles with water in the room … that was the only minus no major problems ,,, the rest of the stay was just perfect . The room and the hotel is very old-fashioned and it is almost like staying in a museum , very interesting just walking around in the hotel . When we check out , our flight was late in the evening and they let us use the swimming pool rest of the afternoon which was a great help for us . Breakfast is fantastic !!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Little India is just a short walk from the hotel

Lovely hotel and service with a natural smile
It felt like a home away from home

We really enjoyed our stay, found the staff excellent, very friendly and committed.
The presence of the staff without intrusion was very pleasant.
One little surprise to us was always addressing us with our name and pronouncing it correctly.
With its central location we were astonished about
the quietness and peacefulness.

Fantastic service in a grand old building
10
We stayed at this lovely hotel in the Ava Gardner room. The service from the staff is probably the best I have experienced. The building is very well maintained and it is well worth having a good look around.
Food was fantastic and I recommend having at least some of your meals in the hotel.
The rates are high but it is worth it and I will return on my next trip to Singapore.
Hotel Feature Tip:
No need to leave the hotel.

i travel for business about once each month and for holidays about twice a year. i stay at many hotels about 50 different ones per year.
this has to be one of the best.
other than the meticulous grandeur of the property, the staff are incredible.
how do they attend to everything before you need to mention it? also, how do they remember the guests names/
it was fantastic, wife loved it she wants me to buy it, lol.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
only negative was they change from a refrigerated air conditioner during the day to an evaporative type cooler in the evening which makes you sweat.

Old world elegance at it's best
Room and service both exceptional.
9.3
Second stay at hotel, it hasn't lost any of it's charm. If given a choice between courtyard room and palm court rooms I would choose palm court as rooms larger and slightly grander. Dining in the Longbar Steakhouse restaurant remains a favourite, food and service both exquisite.
Travel tip:
For history buffs,a visit to Changi museum and Kranji memorial are both powerfully emotive and educate on the darkest days of WW 2 when Singapore fell to Japanese and what occurred thereafter.
