Terrific location, good restaurant and food, medium size, good tours, courteous staff.

Not enough seating in hotel lobby.

I stayed at the Rendezvous for four nights. The hotel is located half a block from Orchard Road which is well known for shopping and restaurants. The hotel is medium sized and easy to get in get out of the hotel. The restaurant had good food at reasonable prices. The tour desk arranged a host of tours and the staff were friendly and courteous. There were a lot of cheap eating places around the the hotel but also expensive places like the Raffles hotel which was within walking distance.

Shopping Tip : Lots of beautiful high end stores.

Hotel and room was very clean, staff is friendly and helpful, location is right by Raffles and Orchard Rd., metro is about 2 minute walk.

The swimming pool only had a few chairs and were occupied by older people (50's/60's) taking naps the entire four days I was there. I had no chance to enjoy the pool. Toilet squeaked, water in drain was loud, could hear people in next room taking shower, talking; Internet charges are ridiculous to use in your room...$26 SGD for 24 hours or $15 for 15 minutes.

The Rendezvous Hotel is a great hotel with an excellent location next to Orchard Road and Raffles. When I wanted to head to another part of the island all I had to do was walk 2 minutes to the metro station. People at the hotel were friendly and helpful when I needed help or directions. There are restaurants and bars in and around the hotel or within a short walking distance. I was disappointed in the Internet charges. I've never been to a country where hotels charge for Internet usage. At least the second hotel where I stayed had a public computer that was free. I also was very irritated at the 'older' people who hogged the pool the entire four days I was staying at the Rendezvous. They took naps while those of us that truly wanted to enjoy the pool weren't able to due to lack of chairs (I think there were 11 total). I would stay at the Rendezvous again but I'd make sure I was up at the crack of dawn to put my towel by the pool!

Travel tip : The metro is super easy to get around in Singapore!

Location is good, close to MRT station

Room is small

The hotel is 3-min walk to the closest MRT station from where you can get around Singapore. The station is inside a shopping mall where you can do some last minute shopping and there are restaurants and food court. The hotel rooms are well designed and built, although a bit small for a 4-star hotel. The price is not cheap, but relatively affordable for Singapore standard.

Well preserved non-smoking hotel

GRO can't be trusted

It's my 1st time to stay at this hotel, first impression is very good. Just like staying at Intercontinental Hotel but cheaper with 1 class lower. One problem with this hotel is I come to hotel at 11 o'clock and can't check in (understandable) but I said to Guest Relationship Officer that I'll be back at night and asking for 1 king size bed near elevator. When I come back around 11 p.m. the GRO said that he upgraded the room to a better one. When I see the room it is located at the farthest part to elevator and near the exit door and the only reason why it is bigger than the other room because it is in the farthest corner and they just add a sofa there. I'm too tired to move so I just stay there and can only complain. The 3rd day I'm asking for late check out since my plane around 5 p.m. they didn't allow me and charge me 20$++ sgd. It's my first time got treated like this at hotel in Singapore, it is better said can or can't like other hotel. Thank's.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : near a cozy coffe cafe ...

The hotel is clean. Right at the end of Orchard Road.

They decided to put me in the very back room next to the cleaners store so all through the night and day, you can hear the cleaners/maids banging about. The mall hall was right below me so late parties made me feel I was in the same room.

The hotel looked good from the outside and also when you get in. The room was tidy and clean but was given a twin room which i hate as I had to push the beds together as what is the point of sleeping in a single!!! The pool looked clean but I never saw it catch the sun so no topping up your tan on this one. The staff were friendly and the maids help me get some double bed linen. If you want to shop but don't want to be in the thick of it then this hotel would be idea for you to stay at. I would stay at the hotel again but would make sure that I confirm I wanted a double bed and not to be me on the 3rd floor and at the back. Raffles hotel is only a 5 minute walk down the road and more shops/malls.

Hotel Feature Tip : Make sure you don't get a back room on the 3rd floor!!!

Nicely appointed rooms in a good hotel. Lots of choices when it comes to dining. Renowned Nasi Padang Restaurant within the hotel. Cosy Bar and close to the city centre, smack between the business and shopping districts.

Staff may be rather cold and task oriented than people oriented. Efficiencies lacking. Gotta be patient.

The Rendevous is a pretty nice hotel set in a district between the old and the new, undergoing a renewal. The best of both worlds in one location. Close to amenities, shopping, eating places. Comfortable room with large beds and well provisioned. Within the building are numerous eating and watering holes. Serving a good range from local to Japanese, to Italian. A pub and a bar lounge.

Restaurant Tip : The Rendevous Restaurant is a locally renowned Nasi Pading (rice with curries and side dishes). Great food at reasonable prices. A real taste of the Singaporean spiciness. A leading Nasi Padang restaurant with more than half a century of history.

The room is very clean, and beautiful. near to shopping centre.

The parking fee is not free. I stayed many hotel in Singapore. This is first time, the parking is not free for guest.

This hotel rooms are all "non smoking" room. I am smoker. I did not know this. It should mentioned on hotel introduction. If I knew it, i did not book this hotel...but this is good hotel for non smoker.

Nice, but no extras included in the price. Guest Rating: 6.7

Good location. Staff are nice and efficient. Rooms clean enough.

Small room for the price. Extras (internet) are not included and carry a considerable extra fee.

Like most hotels in Singapore, expect to pay top dollar for a simple room. I was surprised that extras like internet access and movies on demand carry an extra charge (considerable). I would have assumed that these things are all inclusive. That said, I think this is just standard in Singapore... However, the hotel is in a nice location at the east end of Orchard Road, so shopping is just 5 minutes away!

Shopping Tip : Just walk west along Orchard Rd.

Close to Shops, MRT currently being renovated, very little noise.

Small Pool

Fantastic location, close to Dhoby Ghaut MRT. 7 Eleven opposite and good food hall with cheap meals (starting at $3 Sin). Walking distance to Suntec, Raffles and Orchard Road. Close to Sim Lim and Bugis Junction (takes 10 minutes). Lots of restaurants close including Chijmes. Hotel pool fairly small, and very few sun lounges. Have stayed here three times, but look elsewhere next time. Rooms are small for a 4 star hotel.

Restaurant Tip : Close to Chijmes

Location of the hotel to shops, cafe's.

Can be noisy at times. Staff expect a tip for everything.

The Rendezvous Hotel Singapore is an ideal hotel for getting around Singapore. Close to public transport and you can walk to several key areas in Singapore. The hotel staff were helpful, but the hotel is noisy i.e. traffic, other rooms above and adjacent. Hotel layout makes for long walks to the lifts. The pool was great. Allowed us to store our luggage for three hours when we checked out and offered us free use of the pool showers if we required.

Restaurant Tip : Go to Chimes, about five minutes walk.

Not realy a con but hotel is bare basic.

Basic business hotel. Great location for a major subway station, close to big shoping mall and a large cinema complex. There are also great eatery place in 15 mins walking distance. Rooms are bare basic, but clean and tidy. Front desk staffs are also friendly,
