we enjoyed the service from check in to housekeeping and breakfast. the location is central to shops which meant my wife could venture out on her own whilst i relaxed by the pool.the club room with free mini bar and coffee machine,large tv and free wi fi made life easy.the club room with free cocktails and delicious food was an ideal place to relax and mingle with fellow travellers. iwould definately stay here again and highly recomend royal plaza on scotts.

satay club near china town is a great place to sample local food

lovely hotel in the heart of singapore

Orchard road is a must visit when we are in singapore. The Royal Plaza offered five-star hotel experience at reasonable price. Efficient service was offered by a combination of seasoned and fresh looking staff. I like the old regal look of its lobby.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the staff is friendly, especially towards my children. Very helpful and accomodating. The only minus point is that the hotel entrance doesn't have a ramp, so I had to carry my daughter in one hand and her stroller in the other hand. It would be nice if they set up a ramp so, strollers and wheelchair can have easy access in or out from the hotel.

It's a great hotel strategically located right in the middle of the famous Orchard Road. Furthermore, it's the only hotel in Singapore that serves 'halal' food, which is very convenient for Muslim travelers.
Shopping Tip:
Great shopping area within walking distance to the MRT station.

The hotel is right at the heart of buzzling orchard road shopping belt where you can lots of good bargains and good food. You can easily get to hotel via various mode of public transport like bus, subway or taxi and within walking distance of 100m. You can find 24hr macdonalds right at door steps which is a plus. For me, the hotel auto upgraded my superior room to deluxe with free consumption of mini bar. Will definitely revisit the hotel again, soon.
Shopping Tip:
All shops from boutiques to all kinds of assesories to all kinds entertainment can be found within walking distance.

Overall a very pleasant stay with a generous size room, attentive service and amazing breakfast buffet. The free upgrade with complimentary minibar was a nice touch. Given the hotel's close proximity to Orchard and transport, I would definitely recommend this hotel to both the holiday or business traveller.
Restaurant Tip:
The Carousel restaurant buffet for either breakfast or dinner has an impressive international selection to tempt most palettes and a level of service that goes the extra mile.

If location is important to you then this hotel is cost effective for that. Beds are nice but rooms really vary. They all have nespresso machine and a few complimentary items in the fridge but this is a nice business hotel and definitely not a luxury hotel by any means.
Restaurant Tip:
Had breakfast in the hotel which was adequate but nothing special. I hear lunch and dinner is supposed to be much better and will try on my next visit
