Excellent hotel, warm & friendly staff

this is the 3rd time i stayed at royal plaza at scotts and i will keep coming back. staff are always helpful, smiling, and very friendly. each one seems to have great pride in their hotel and the work that they do. rooms are clean, adequate, just the right size, and are stocked with the usual amenities. the soap, shampoo, & lotions are so fragrant. not much of a view from the rooms though except perhaps on the higher floors. they also have free wifi, a feature that some of the large hotel chains charge you massive amounts for. the hotel is a few steps from orchard rd. and there is an mrt station close by. excellent value all around.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't exchange your money at the hotel. Instead as you exit the hotel, turn left and climb up the pedestrian overpass to Far East Plaza. Proceed directly to the mall from the overpass and on your left is a Currency Exchange Shop that has very competitive rates. Really worth the few steps.

We have stayed here many times for the location, cleanliness and value. It is practically on the corner of Orchard and Scotts Road. There is food every where and also a 7-11 across the road. Hotel is clean and internet wifi works well. We always get free parking, for the location, it is unbelievable. Value as well is good considering the location.
Restaurant Tip:
Chicken Rice on the 4th Floor of Far East Plaza is good and famous.

staff were friendly and efficient. overall the hotel and rooms are a little tired however the location is great for shopping and easy for public transport.
the restaurant only offers buffet for lunch and dinner which can be expensive if you are not hungry or have fussy eaters. the room service menu also does not cater for children however room service were more than happy to make something that was not on the the menu for our children.
Restaurant Tip:
It is worth booking the Club level accommodation as full breakfast is included, plus afternoon tea and drinks in the early evening which is worth every cent as eating out in Singapore is expensive not to mention the drinks!

The hotel is in a great central location, near the MRT and main shopping areas of Singapore, it is a great hotel for quick visit or stopover. Staff are friendly.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I booked inclusive mini bar, do not expect full mini bar, this was disappointing, will only a couple of things in the fridge, choice was very limited

A lot of smiles all around

Stayed for the weekend with my family. Room was big enough but the duvet was quite thin. It would have been better if the duvet was thicker as it gets quite cold at night. Location is perfect for shopping at Orchard area as it's just walking distance to most of the shopping mall. Overall the service is good. Wouldn't mind going there again.
Nightlife Tip:
Cinema is only a few minutes walk away.

The hotel is minutes walk to the ION and Orchard Road. The entrance to the hotel on Scotts Road is a little perilous if arriving on foot as pedestrian access is secondary to vehicles. We arrived just before midnight and from the moment we alighted from the cab, we were treated to the “what can we do for you” experience. Check in was efficient and the executive club options listed on the wallet card with the room key was a useful addition.
Our one bedroom suite had a large lounge and study area, free mini bar and internet and Nespresso machine. A large bowl with fresh fruit was a lovely addition, along with a sample of chocolates from the restaurant. The bed was huge, with plenty of pillows. While the view was over the adjacent car park, the thick double curtains shut this and the sun out, to allow for uninterrupted sleep. The room was an oasis of quiet and cool after long days of sightseeing.
Breakfast was included in our room rate and we had the option of dining in the restaurant (Carousel) or in the Lounge.

Tihs hotel locate near the MTR station, just take few minutes to the station. This price is reansoble is compared with other 5 star hotel locate within the same location. Staffs are helpful. If you not care about the facilities, this hotel would be the first choice for few days hoilday.

It was a memorable and great experience. The staffs there were friendly and a great help. The room rates are affordable and reasonable. The security is very tight. Thumbs up. I understand Royal Plaza is a non-smoking hotel, however I hope you could implement a level for smoking area guests or a level for smoking rooms. Thank you Royal Plaza on Scotts! We will be back again for sure!
