great location but small room
4.7
the hotel is situated at the heart of chinatown, close to mrt and everything. hotel room is neat and clean but really small, without any window making that a bigger problem. not an atmosphere that i wanted to stay long inside the room. otherwise, i am satisfied with this hotel.
Nightlife Tip:
room small. near railway station. reception ok. in the nigh you can walk around in china town to see signing.

great location but noisy rooms
location, location, location and cleanness

I arrived couple of hours early to the hotel early and the room was not ready, which was not a big problem as there are lots of nice coffeeshops and other shops to explore. While I enjoyed my stay, the rooms were very small (you can barely fit two suitcases in the room) and noisy no matter which side of the hotel you are (I tried two different rooms). Nevertheless, I enjoyed for my stay and would book this hotel again if travelling to Singapore on budget.

room is small and breakfast is a bit too dull but compensated by a very good location, a friendly service and cool old chinese theme decoration.

Love the Location!
The best thing about this hotel is that when you step out of it, everything is within reach - sightseeing, shopping, MRT. I missed the info that breakfast was included, so it was an added bonus to an already value price. Breakfast was enough to fill us up till noon. Mr. Ho was quite helpful, pointing out location of moneychangers etc and suggesting transport options.

True the rooms are quite small, but we expected it and so were not unduly surprised. Airconditioners worked. Would have appreciated windows, but we got the special request items we listed.

room is very small but cosy. it is very noisey at night due to the late business operations nearby. not recommended for family with kids.

China Town, close to subway, small and dim room
Good location, clean room, friendly staff
7.7
The room is small, especially the shower area. I am a small person so small room is OK for me. Luckily I brought shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, toothpaste, and toothbrush myself. The hotel provides a combined hair and body shampoo only. No toothpaste, no toothbrush. I think the good side of it is it is environmentally friendly but if you expect the hotel to provide, then it may cause a problem. The hotel provides only a big body towel, no face towel. Luckily again, I brought my own little towel. I hope the room can be brighter with more lights. It is too dark. No window, no daylight too.

Great location, small and dim room
Good rate, location close to subway, friendly staff

i chose this hotel because it was re-built from an opera house and i would like to try different boutique hotels. the rate is very attractive. though the room i got is small, i could tolerate. unfortunately it was very dim. the only spot lights in the room are not enough and i had to stand under a spot light to read. there is no window in the room so no daylight. the wifi is sometimes slow. the good points are that the room and bed are clean. i am happy that breakfast was also included. the staff are friendly. it is a delightful experience to meet them every morning and enjoy the meal.

Turning into my favorite hotel!
Superb design, affordable, free wifi, breakfast, well situated, clean and great service from the staff.
9.7
second time staying there and i simply love it. the proximity to main attractions is a plus. best taxi stand is around the corner at temple street and south bridge. always a cab waiting! great food also nearby and plenty to do. the rooms are stylized and very clean. the interior decoration is really unique. such an hidden jewel and pleasant surprise for me the first time i stayed. discover it yourself!
Restaurant Tip:
Be sure to have dim sums at restaurant Yum Cha nearby...
