nothing but good location

Location is the only advantage for this hotel. It is close to china town and mrt. Besides, there is little to appreciate. The room is small, and noisy. The breakfast is too basic. Especially when I was back from Bali, I am quite depressed by the service and attitude. I may stay somewhere else next time.

Nice room with a balcony
Room comes with a balcony, nice architecture and structure in this traditional building

It's a historical building with 100 over years history and is converted from an opera theatre to a modern and unique opera-style designed hotel. If you know how to appreciate the architecture and structure of this traditional buildings, i reckon that you would love your stay in this hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony, hence we're pleased with our room regarding the room size. However, we found cobwebs on wall and ceiling, and dusty windows. Hotel condition and cleanliness can be improved. Last but not the least, staff who lead us to our room is helpful and friendly.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Book a deluxe room if you need more space. It also comes with a balcony with 2 windows.

Decent Stay and Great Location but small room

I have been staying for 2 days in this hotel. It can be quite noisy at night as the hotel location is right in the middle of Chinatown night market area. However, you can enjoy the variety of food nearby this place. And you can never get hungry even in the middle of the night.

The hotel was easy to find, just down the road from the MRT and the street names are clearly marked. Check in was fast but the bell hop hung around in our room awkwardly, I believe he was waiting to be tipped.
We had Scholar room, 233, not a good place if you require natural light to keep your body clock in check as theres no windows. The room is small, its hard to move around with two suitcases always in the way. Not enough room to stretch out your arms.
The shower flooded the whole bathroom, which stayed wet the whole time.
The sleep quality was good, with a comfortable bed and free fast wifi in the room.
The breakfast is your typical cheap and nasty feed of powerded eggs and spam bacon, the OJ was good though!
Check out was quick and easy.
Overall it was an average stay, saved by the fact of the free wifi. If you dont need much space or daylight (perfect for a single traveller) this place in the heart of China town is good for you ... on the other hand, it isnt very family friendly.

Ask for one of their larger rooms!
