Complimentary coffee n tea are available at out the room but was not inform at the reception. Nice roomy hall quite a waste can be added to room space.
Travel tip:
If only for the nite rest and for convenient OK to stay and be prepare to accept the tiny room space.

Quirky Hotel in Chinatown
Easy access to Chinatown and Metro

Noisy hotel (cars and drinkers outside).
Small rooms, (especially if you are used to Australian size accommodation).
An old Chines Opera House, converted and retaining it's charm.
Reception staff friendly, porter is full of advice.
Watch out for cockroaches, found a few in the room, (fast little buggers, hard to catch)

special thanks to for giving a great support during check-in. even the friendly cleaner also very helpful when i asked for the drinking water. the location is great, it can be reached by mrt easily. a food street in the night offers different types of delicious food, yummy! but i've 2 things to highlight: the quality of the bed and only 1 bottle of mineral water provided. i can even feel the spring of my bed, it really caused me not able to sleep well. and 1 bottle of water per room is definitely not enough in singapore.

convenience location, it's nearby bus station and MRT station. just walk 3 mins can reach there. it also have different kind of restaurant nearby.
the only one thing which is not good is, the room is next to the street, its a bit noise during 11-12am.

the hotel is in good location. train station is just around the corner. generally, it is nicely decorated especially the hotel lobby which is a good place for a quick meet up with someone.
our room comes with a balcony overlooking chinatown street which is amazing!
the room smells a little, it came from the bathroom. maybe the bathroom was not sprayed with air freshener. the smell is similar to those which was not wash for long time. it is clean on surface, just the smell. perhaps anti bacteria air freshener is a good investment, like the ones used on planes.

best fruit juice at bugis street.

Nice hotel in the heart of Chinatown

the hotel is charming, and the location couldn't be better. the staff are friendly and the layout of the hotel is interesting, since it used to be a chinese opera house. room was small, and the lighting was terrible. there was no window in the room, which is what i wanted since i was worried about street noise.unfortunately, you can hear everything in the adjoining rooms, so i was woken up very early one morning when next door guests got up.breakfast was basic, very little choice, but it was adequate.
Shopping Tip:
There are loads of small shops selling all sorts of Chinese novelties, very cheap prices. There are also chinese handicraft shops in large malls all around Chinatown. The streets around the hotel are good for walking around and browsing!
