Nice little boutique hotel suitable for a short getaway over the weekend for a couple.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Parking is available at the open carpark opposite the hotel. Alternatively, you can park at the URA building carpark which is diagonal to the hotel. But note that the URA car park is closed on Sunday and public holidays, so make sure not to park your car overnight on Saturdays or the eve of public holidays.

Good location to stay at and I normally choose a hotel which provides free in-room broadband like Scarlet Hotel with which I can always stay connected with my family when I'm away for business trip.

The staff were so helpful in making our short stay in Singapore a good one.
Attention guys - if you want to treat your girlfriend/ wife to a nice hotel without breaking the bank - this is the one! Just take note about what I said about getting an executive room.
The Maxwell Food centre is just around the corner (a good one to remember to mention to taxis because not many know The Scarlet). China Town is also a short walk away, which has all kinds of food until late.
We didn't sample the restaurant.

The rooms are expensive relative to other countries but offer fairly good value for money for Singapore.
For pretty much the same price you can get a larger room with breakfast at Novotel in an equally attractive part of town - Clarke Quay.
What you gain in comfort, service and style at Scarlet, you lose at Novotel - so it really depends what you are after.
1929 and New Majestic Hotel are good alternatives to Scarlet, but are a bit out of the way if you don't know your way around town.
- Restaurant Tip : Beaujolais is a friendly and popular bar on Ann Siang Hill that also does good snacks and food.
Maxwell Hawker Centre is also just around the corner where you can buy fresh juices and sample all the local food in a non-touristy environment.

Despite a few negative reviews about the room size and lack of windows for the Scarlet hotel, my partner and I were pleasantly surprised when we were given a nice executive room (although we paid for deluxe only)! Perhaps because we agreed to return for our check-in, as the room was not ready at noon. We found the decor was tasteful, bed was ultra comfortable, and it was very quiet on the 3rd floor, which enabled us to have peaceful sleep nightly. I must also mention the excellent service, we were greeted warmly by the staff, arranged a nice room, and even had our luggage brought up upon return after a day of sight-seeing. Each morning we were also greeted warmly, given ample information about where to go, and were very helpful for booking us a taxi back to the airport. In this respect, the Scarlet beats many 5-star hotels hands down. We would definitely return to stay here again, and would gladly recommend this cute boutique hotel for those who'd like to try something really different.

The corridor to go to the room look like it will never finish but after the first time it's fine.
- Restaurant Tip : Near Chinatown with some wonderful restaurants and Peking Duck.
