Hotel does not have a shuttle to Universal Studios but the free public shuttle is a five minutes walk away.
The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast buffet. Probably the best breakfast buffet I've had so far.
Staff are attentive and polite.

We got there early and the wonderful staff let us check in at 8 am without an extra charge. The breakfast buffet is amazing but otherwise the food is just average. The beach is good, for singapore, and the paddle boating was fun. If you want to just relax, this is the perfect place.
Shopping Tip:
Take the free shuttle to harbor front and you can catch the mrt to any shopping from there!

beautiful hotel that needs human touch

the newly renovated room was clean and nice. we were surprised by quite tamed monkeys at our balcony who were treated to fruits. the view was nice but our stay was marred by the rain. the hotel could improve by organising activities for the guests and it appears the only facilities besides spa, gym for the adults will be the pool which was a no no because of the rain. staff strength can be improved as at most times, the front counter was manned by merely two or three counter staffs.

Family friendly Hotel

The hotel guests are very friendly and accommodated us in many ways. They offered us a free buffet dinner because the water supply to our room was disrupted for 30 minutes. We feel that it was a wanderful gesture. Initially we wanted to complain about the water disruption but they were quick in offering us the free dinner. We were also very satisfied with all the staff who were very polite and helpful. The facilities were in very good conditions after they renovated them last year. Our kids also enjoyed the activities and programme at the kids club. The staff looked after and interacted with our kids very well. We will definitely go back again.

Service could have been better

Reached at 3pm. Check in process took too long. Were were at counter for almost 40 mins. Magnetic key did not work and we had to go down to get key re-done. Booked connecting rooms but connecting door was locked. Called housekeeping for help and the man took 20 mins to come to room to open the connecting door. Shoe left behind by previous guest was still in drawer of one of the rooms. A let down considering that it was ShangriLa. we expected better.

Very nice after renovation
Good comfortable room and great kiddy pool with water slides.

We stayed at Rasa Sentosa many years ago when it was cheaper and needed considerable repairs. Now that the hotel is renovated, the rooms are aesthetic and comfortable, the cafe food is tremendously improved, and the swimming pool has more safety precautions including a staff members at the top of the water slide to control the kids from jumping on top of each other or pile-ups at the bottom of the slide. The kids loved the kiddy pool and the water slides. The beach located just beyond the swimming pool is clean. Evening activities are scarce after 10pm. The hotel still seems to be under staffed.

but sentosa is very good location for vacation and relax..

You can go sentosa world by subtle.

Great location, great view, wonderful people!
the room's view is fantastic, the people there are heartwarming, the food is great, the pool is just wonderful!

It was our 3 years anniversary, and I brought my wife-to-be to Shangri La as a surprise present to her. She love the ocean, and we intended to hold our dinner there anyway, and the hotel is a perfect choice. The people are all heartwarming, doing everything they can to make your stay as perfect as possible. The room's view is just fantastic, we did not even want to leave the room, all we wanted to do was to sit at the balcony and enjoy the breeze and the view. The food is great! We had our dinner at the Barnacles, and the waiter there is wonderful! I made a call once I booked the room, to arrange for a little surprise for my wife-to-be, and they gave us a free chocolate cake, congratulating us on our 3rd anniversary. I seriously cannot find another hotel with such staff's attitudes and smiles anymore. Or I should say that hotels with staffs that are all so hot-blooded are difficult to find!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is a fantastic hotel to start off with, if you want a view, the ocean is perfect. It is located in Sentosa, which is Singapore's island getaway. It has beaches and museums and entertainment!
