Great locations, very poor customer service

The location of this hotel is superb. Sentosa tram is just outside of the hotel, too easy to get around. The swimming pool is WOW!!! Totally awesome! Not a very good range of breakfast buffet, though. Taste is very poor considering that the hotel is a 4 stars. I extended my stay to a late check-out (up to 6pm), but when I came back to my room (2nd floor) about 430pm, the key would not open the door. I had to ring up the front desk (in level 8) from the restaurant in level 1, and explained that I already asked for a late check out but I could not use the key. They said they will send a bellboy to open the door. We waited for 10 minutes, but no one came. I rang the front desk again from the restaurant, and complaint about it. I said I paid 2/3 extra for a late check-out, I should be able to use the key, and the bellboy should NOT take more than 10 mins to our room. The receptionist apologised and just HANG UP on me!l! I rang up again, and I was pretty sure it was the same girl again and I asked of it was her who answered the phone. She said no. Then I asked if I can speak to the other girl who answered my phone. She said, she has gone home. What a…??? It was just 30 seconds ago! Obviously, she was being so defensive realising that she had made mistake by hanging up on me. I said, I need to speak to your manager and complain that YOU need more training to speak to your guest. The stay was perfect until I met this “unwell trained customer service”.

Our stay was too short. Hotel was close to Port of Lost wonder and nice beach.It was far from the city and needed a tram, monorail then either taxi or MRT. weekend crowds need to be factored in when planning getting off Sentosa(long queues) and visiting adventure parks.
