Hotel room is unique as it is a double-storey room. However, room isn't very spacious. No docking station or function to charge iPhones in the room.

The staffs are friendly with the location near clark quay. Room is a bit small, with the upstair room only for study room. free WIFI with a very cheap breakfast, for Singapore hotel standard.

studio m is a modern, hip hotel in a convenient location. just a few blocks from the singapore river, it was easy to walk to many places. the room itself was comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. the bed may have been the most comfortable i've ever slept in.
i do wish that the hotel was closer to a subway stop, but the 15 minute walk to the clarke quay station wasn't too bad. also, it was a bit precarious walking up and down the stairs from the loft in the dark, should the need to use the loo arise.
Restaurant Tip:
the food court at the People's Park complex is the best for authentic Chinese hawker dishes. It's right outside the Chinatown subway station.

Unique room types - studio loft but a bit small

There's 2 separate small shower room & toilet,it's not really suitable for tall & fat person.A bit cramp inside easily knocked with the furniture inside but the decor is comfortable and unique.
Not a convenience place for public transport except for taxi or take a 5-10mins walk to Clarke Quay.

An expensive place for just being ok.

I know all of Singapore is expensive. Even the bad places to stay are expensive. But when you spend so much money on one room, and they don't even offer the same type of breakfast you could get for free in a hostel I think, what's the point? I wanted to treat myself to a really nice place, something I have never done before. But I ended up being disappointed. It is a nice place, but if you're going to spend a lot of money on yourself find a better place to stay.

This was perfect for us and our son. HE had the downstairs area with a couch that folded into a bed and we had the upstairs with a comfortable queen size bed. Location is great and the price is was reasonable for Singapore Standards.
