Horrible Hotel but Fast Internet

I had to book an additional room for my business partner and since I was billeted in the Studio M I decided to book him there as well. Bad Idea. The only saving grace of this whole debacle is the location, fast internet, and the great cafe downstairs. The room itself is a mangled mess of cramped toilet, shower, and bed space. The kitchen is barely passable, and the chair they use is so hard its ridiculous. It's not a wooden chair that might possibly be comfortable, but a ridiculous piece of modern art plastic that is thin and utterly uncomfortable. I've sat in better $5 lawn chairs.

It's quite convenience location with many cafe n bars around, except no MRT access. Near to the river bank for a walk, 711is just across the road, free wifi, by taxi is not far to Orchard.

Hotel is place in the perfect sport 2 second walk to river and to all the resturants and night life.
great 30 minute walk to Marina Bay which is super easy to get by walking along river.
Singapore is small so every thing is easy to get to.. close to Orchard road (10 min walk) all the classy shops are there..

The rooms were clean and small but the loft design makes it feel airy.
Housekeeping staff were great. Reception staff can be cold.
Many food options (restaurants, bars and supermarkets) within walking distance.
The location next to the river is great with running routes.
No problems getting a taxi.
Wifi speed reasonable.
Overall satisfied and would stay here again.

Working desk on the upper floor in the room

It's a loft with writing/working desk upstairs lead by a staircase. The bed is on the same floor as the entrance. Bathroom is small and so is the toilet. Not suitable for family or any guests more than 2.
About 15 mins walk to MRT station.

the staff were friendly and helpful, and the lap pool, whilst small was big enough for the people that wanted to use it.
breakfast wasn't included which was annoying for the price we paid for the room.
the location is handy for clarke key and the city or business meetings.
the bed is very comfortable and kept very clean, the shower and toilet are in separate little cupboards which make them feel very cramped, but the split level design is cool.
Travel tip:
Go to Clarke quay for drinks and try Chinatown for food on club street.

I had a really nice stay at the Studio M.
the room was really small but cosy and very comfortable and suitable if you are not staying here for too long. the location is fantastic, very very central and walking distance to the 'happening districts' like the Clarke quay and Boat quay.
Food was plentiful in the area and would say this is value for money on a budget.

i was impressed with this hotel. everything about it demonstrated fore thought and experienced design. after staying in so many cookie-cutter hotels, this place was a breath of fresh air. the location is a small drawback & there could be a little more clothes hanging space in the room's closet. however, the pluses far exceed the minuses.
