Very good location, clean and value for money
Room that I stayed did not have windows.
The hotel is very well located, next to some good shopping area and food court nearby, well connected by bus with the nearest MRT only 5-7 minutes walk away. One can get a taxi easily. The breakfast was good at the price. The hotel staff was cordial and helpful. The room rate could have been a bit lower comparatively, but, okay for two with breakfast.
Shopping Tip : Go to OG and Bugis Junction. Great shopping!

I think that hotel could make free Wi-Fi, especially that SingTel provides it for free over the city
Good location in the center of Singapore, Bencoolen Str. Just behind IBIS hotel located hindu-chinesse street market. Nice choice for 2-3 freinds. Staff was polite.
Shopping Tip : Bencoolen junction - street market

location is unique- it is near city hall and heart of the city. national museum is near by and art museum also nearby.there is famous bugis market just at walking distance of the hotel. a chinese temple and a hindu temple are also just opposte of the hotel at the behind of the opposite building. staff are very accomodative and nice. breakfast is excellent. hotel restaurant has got nice thai food and we enjoyed the same.tour help desk is also excellent.
hotel should have option to get window room booking facility. where windows are provided the same are locked and hence defeat the pupose of windows.
I have booked this hotel through internet.I reached there on 7th march 2009 before the check in time with my family. Staff were couteous and helped me to get room early. They have helped me for getting night suffery and santosa tour.Language is a little problem but you can overcome easily. City hall esplanade museum art gallery management university marina bay esplanade theatre national library bugis market all are nearby and within walking distance unless one is alergic to walk for 15/20 minutes. All types of food starting from indian to thai western to italian are available nearby. famous bugis market is also close by. It is also nice hotel for family stay unless somebody is accustomed to stay in five star facilty.I stayed there for four days and we are satisfied very much.
Shopping Tip : THERE are many shopping malls near by besides the art museum national museum management university national library. famous bugis market is nearby where you can purchase lot of items to present to your friends and prices are affordable. There are indian eateries nearby beside burger king and thai food. food court provides different countries varieties too.

Hotel where history is felt.
The time of the breakfast is short.
the reception desk had already turn off when i check-in in the middle of the night. It was a hotel of the style of the China type to feel the history though the hotel was old.

Room, bathroom both are clean and neat.
Close to the city center, very convenient.
Only one restaurant as not much choice in breakfast.
I would like to recommend this hotel to those are sole travelers, as the hotel is much near to the city center and by walk for 10 mins along Bencoolen Street till the end, u can reach the National Museum of Singapore and Orchard Road to do some shopping, so no need to take much MRT at all.
Shopping Tip : Bugis Street, Bugis Junction is nearby, just take 5 mins to get there.

in front of the hotel is a taxi stand; very near to the Bugis Street market and Sim Lim Square; only 5 minutes walk to Little India MRT Station.
Breakfast is almost unchanged everyday.
This is my wife's first time overseas travel, and she likes the hotel very much. The hotel room is very clean (though a bit small). The wifi internet in the hotel is quite good though you have to pay a small fee (about S$5.35 per 30 minutes). The receptionists and the porters were very helpful, they took care of our luggage well after we checked out for the last minute shopping. My wife did a lot of shoppings near the hotel.
If you want to have a budget vacation with a lot of interesting things to experience in Singapore while still being connected with your business and firends by internet, Summer View should be the first choice.
Shopping Tip : There is a S$1 store in the Bugis Street market where you can buy a lot of authentic Walt Disney's stationaries with S$1 each, good to use as gift for people back home.

nice location.. just in the middle of everything.
small rooms (the one we got wasnt close to that in the photos).. the restaurant offers a limited choice of foods for breakfast
overall its an OK hotel for a budget-conscious traveller.

Good location, easy to get there from anywhere. From airport by subway.
Small rooms, no swimming pool, poor breakfast, high room rate
Staff is not smiling all day but stay polite. When during check-in I ask them to change a twin bed room for a double bed room there were no available rooms. However the next day all my things were replaced to a double bed room.
Location is great, not right in the centre but near Little India just 15 minutes walk from three different MRT Stations – Bugis(East-West Line) and Little India(North-East Line) and Dhoby Ghaut(North-East Line & North- South Line). The bus stop is nearby the hotel as well.
I was surprised that no visitors were welcome in the hotel after 10:00 PM .
Restaurant is small and quite poor and breakfast is not good too. But there are plenty of small cheap cafés and food courts around the hotel.
Resume: nice traveller hotel who wish to stay a short period of time and use the hotel just for sleeping, not good enough for staying a long time.
Shopping Tip : Sim Lim Square the biggest Singapore Photo- Video- Computer Shopping Centre is the second door from the hotel.

Excellent location - very close to the main perks of Singapore - only round the corner from Raffles and Orchard Road.
Clean and efficient.
Nice bed.
Rooms/bathroom slightly small.
We struggled to get a hotel in Singapore during the Grand Prix, prices were sky high and availability really low. The Summer View Hotel was one that was available at a reasonable price...and so I booked it. Was surprised at how nice it was considering it was a 3 star and also how convenient the location was. Walking distance from all the main highlights of Singapore and only 10mins walk away from the Grand Prix - couldn't have asked for a better location. We were not expecting breakfast on arrival and was told that was included in our stay - again an added bonus.
I would definitely come back and stay at this hotel.

small rooms, no view at the window
it's good for a short stay, i wont recomend it for family with children, its near the food court in the shopping mall in bencoolin.
Travel tip : its better to eat in the foodcourt for the value of money and the kind of food you want to eat

There're rooms with and without windows so should make it clear with the hotel before hand. Anyway the hotel is fairly hospitable and changed room for me right away. Location is not bad, with five minutes walk to the MRT. And I even walked to the Orchard Road. The breakfast is simple, western style, but ok to me. The room feels a little bit too small but with good privacy, quiet and clean.

Location is Great
Breakfast is decent
Quiet room
Teeny tiny room
leakage in the bathroom
tiny TV, only visible from the hallway
Although the Summerview is well-located, we were quickly disappointed by the small sized room in relation to what we spent. The staff was helpful however the room was extremely small, stuffy and somewhat dark. There are several convenience stores and food markets near bye so you won't starve and taxis find the hotel easily. Lots of internet cafes near bye as well.

Rooms are quiet neat and basic tourism information is provided at the front desk. Taxi and bus stops are just infront of the hotel. Will recommend for a short stay.
They serve repetitive breakfast every morning.
MRT is about 1km from the hotel.
I am glad I made booking with Agoda because booking at the counter was about 30% expensive than what Adoga offered me. For Indian travellers Little India would be more convinient to stay.
Restaurant Tip : Visit New Delhi Cuisine in Little India for All types of Indian food.
