High quality staff, excellent service, perfect location and access to downtown sites

Internet service unreliable, overaged bathroom furnishings that were inoperative

The Stamford was an an excellent hotel. I did throughly enjoy my stay. The staff is very responsive to your needs and alays ready to make your stay thatmuch more comfortable. The hotel is located righ tnext to a major shopping center with a huge variety of shopping and restaurants. Raffles is a short walk away, as are a number of museums, the waterfront, and Fort Canning. The only issues I had were nonfunctioning bathroom appliances (bathtub drains didn't work) and a supposed Braodband Internet connection that cost me an extra 120 dollars, but was unable to make Skype video calls to Japan. Even with these little hiccups, I would definitely stay there again.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Fort Canning and the National Museum are just a few blocks away and within easy walking distance. A definite must see.

Good view Spacious room Connected to shopping mall

No complimentary parking Valet service questionable

I handed over my car to the valet who promptly said, "that will be 25 dollars bro." Now I understand that I do look young but that doesn't warrant calling a hotel guest "bro."

Restaurant Tip : Double bay restaurant has pretty good barramundi

Located at Central Business restricted area, which full of `Life` unlike other Business resticted area after office hours become death town.

So far everything is consider good. They did not inform in advance non-smoking room or smoking room which causing some how unhappy feeling.

We stay at 57 floor , the view is good ,we can see lovely Singapore River and night life around the river side. Morning sun shine into our room very good feeling. The breakfast was served at 60th floor , but the chooice is very limited , but we enjoin the view of morning sun and hot coffee. Only one disadvantages is fail to advise us our room was smoking room.

Travel tip : Business restrick area , very close to all the Overseas Bank.

Location is good

Getting kinda old

This was a last minute booking the night before for just an overnight stay. Checked in late and checked out first thing in the morning. Stayed on the club floor, where the view of the city was great, but lounge and room looking a bit tired. Breakfast was ok, but busy, maybe a bit small

Rooms with balconies. Panoramic view of the harbour front, proximity to convention center and underground station

having to pay for internet service

Being a regular visitor to Singapore, and usually staying in Orchard Road, we chose the Swisshotel as we were attending a trade show at the Suntec City nearby, and if we miss the free shuttle, we only have to walk 5 minutes. Almost all other hotels that we have stayed in Singapore do not have a balcony, so it is quite a treat to find a balcony in our room, and the view is amazing. We could see the Padang, the Esplanade, Clark Quay, Merlion, Suntec City, the soon to be opened Sands Resort & Casino, and the sea in front with all the big ships. Breakfast is a good selection - can't complain as this is a freebie and was not meant to be included in our rates. (by the way, we made a booking through another 3rd party website and breakfast was included in that booking). Room service was very efficient, we wondered if we had ordered something that someone had did not want as it came in 5 minutes. Staff were friendly and courteous, and room was a good size as well. We will definitely consider staying here again.

The first and most appealing aspect of the Swissotel Stamford is the luxurious accomodations and having a great view for all their rooms. The location is probably the second most important benefit of this hotel. Being situated above City Hall MRT and right next to Raffles City, Chijmes, Marina Square, and Raffles Hotel. The 3rd great offering is the Equinox, New Asia Bar, and restaurants the hotel boasts. People flock as a great entertainment destination. Last but not least, it goes without saying that the service is professional, courteous, and worthy of it's 5 star classification.

When I stayed here one year ago, guests were charged to use the gym. They have since lifted that fee which is great. However, the one annoying fact is the astronomical price to use their Business Center's internet access. It is ridiculous that guests are charged at $10 SGD per 15 mins, let alone charged at all when most hotels offer it for free.

Above all, the Swissotel Stamford is probably the best hotel in all of Singapore. While the Fullerton and Raffles Hotel may rival or offer other amenities, the location and the view of the city landscape is unmatched. Also, I feel very energized everytime I step out of the elevator and into the lobby with all sorts of guests arriving and people coming in and out. There is a reason for the influx of people and the buzz that it generates.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Have a drink at New Asia Bar, the highest bar in all of Singapore. Grab an original Singapore Sling at the Raffles Hotel Longbar.

View on Singapore and bars and restaurant on last levels

Bedrooms are old style and will need to be refreshed.

The view is fantastic, I even had the feeling I was flying when I was on the balkony (level 58), it is incredible, full view on Clarke Quay on also on the harbor. It is mandatory to have a dring and / or a dinner on the last level 70 or 71 (nice atmosphere in bars and restaurants). The staff is very pleasant and always willing to help. The only thing which need to be improved is the quality of the room, there are a little bit old and need to be refreshed. Thanks.

Nightlife Tip : clarke quay and chemsee

Nice and friendly staff Great views over Singapore from the 71th floor Hotel applies some green issues - saving etc.

No water available in your room - you must pay a bottle of water - in a 5 star it should be for free

I had a good time in the hotel, it was excellent, the staff very helpful and friendly, but if you pay a room it doesnt include breakfast, so I think it is little bit too expensive

Shopping Tip : The location is very good, the hotel is connected to a Shopping mail, where you can buy international luxury marks, for good prices. Take a walk to Raffles Place and check around the river, a lot of restaurants, jazz clubs, dancing evenings, with international atmosphere.

good location. Hotel Staff is good and polite. Good view if you take the sea view rooms.

The room smells old. Bathroom is in bad shape, no proper maintenance. The bath tub was clogged and when maintenance crew repaired, stinking smell from the bath. Though I was given another room but the condition in the replacement room was equally not appealing. Not worth for the money.

View of the hotel from outside is good. But the room was quite old. Old furniture and bed. TV was not clear at all. Bath in my room was in bad shape, no proper maintenance. The bath tub was clogged and when maintenance crew repaired, stinking smell from the bath. Though was given another room but the condition in the replacement room was not appealing. Not worth for the money. I may not stay in this hotel on my next trip.

Shopping Tip : good shopping place. No problems in getting food. Plenlty of foods stalls and decently priced restaurants.

Great restaurants and bars on site. Stunning views from rooms

Rooms did look a little old fashioned especially the bathrooms

Overall this is a beautiful hotel. We stayed in an Executive room, the rooms from floors 58 upwards and the views were terrific. They also have a happy hour lounge from 5-8pm which is all free and the food and drinks were excellent. The rooms were specious, and having some many bars and restaurants nearby is excellent. The only downside is the rooms decor tended to be a little old fashioned, and we did have some problems with our bath and shower not turning off properly. Apart from that was excellent.

Nightlife Tip : The Fairmont has a late bar next door which is very good.

The hotel is very nice if you get the renovated rooms. It is connected to a shopping mall so you don't have to leave the premises with a supermarket and restaurants in the basement.

A lot of the rooms were not renovated. I changed twice. The first was an old room. The second was renovated but the air conditioning did not work and the technician pretended he fixed it but it did not work. Changed again and found the room ok but some lights weren't working.

Overall, it is a good hotel and a very convenient location. I think three hotels are connected to the shopping mall so you will never be bored. They need to finish renovating the rooms and check the existing rooms to make sure all the equipment works. Once this is done, I would recommend it.

Shopping Tip : check out the adjoining mall and the food court and supermarket in the basement.

Location, nice views from higher floors

Poor service, no response to requests, shower in bathtub

Booked a three nights stay in an Executive Room at the Swissotel The Stamford. The room itself is a bit outdated: no seperate shower and bathtub and 'classic' furniture. Did have a BIG LCD TV though. Views from de 57th floor were magnificent. The Lavazza espresso machine is a nice touch. When we repeatedly requested for some minor repairs in the room, they said they would fix it, when we were out, but they did not. The attitude of the 'On Call Valet' did not show much interest. The Exec lounge is nice, some nice evening nibbles and drinks. Housekeeping staff tried their best.
