the location is just a few minutes walk to orchard road
going back to the hotel is a long uphill walk.
the hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. the hotel is on top of the hill, with no restaurant or 24 shops near by. its not ideal to bring your children in this hotel because of the location. the room is nice but needs to be renovated, i requested for a non smoking room but they upgraded me to a smoking room
Shopping Tip : lucky plaza is a good place to buy cheap items

Looks good, good italian restaurant, with a lounge and F&B being served at the swimming pool
No expectaions of F&B services post 10:00 pm. Smoking rooms stink unless they are equipped with special exhausts
Hotel is good and is not the one which is shown on the site. It lacks cleaning specially the smoking rooms. The coffee shop is good and serves good italian food. Staff is helpful to an extent. This particularly comes out of my experience when i returned late night without having dinner only to find that the restaurant hadd closed down and there was no room serive available. Had to go without dinner that evening. also comparatively it is very highly priced

- Geographical location - near orchard street
- Good staff
- Very nice hotel
too small swimming pool
not much entertainment
Bar close too early
The hotel is located near orchard street, only 5 mins from centre - orchard street
Nice hotel overall. Was really satisfied with the hotel
Good and helpful staff
- Easy access to MRT station
- Check in time - had to wait for some 15 - 30 mins but not an issue as such. Understandable.
Overall satisfactory. A good hotel.
Shopping Tip : Good to buy at Orchard Street. But be careful sometimes you must shop around.

access to Orchard road. Non smoking floor, extra bed easily arranged even on arrival
wiFi not complimentary, breakfast should be inclusive of rate, the curved bottom of the bath/shower can be a bit unsettling and may be dangerous if one is not careful. Noisy drain
overall my wife and i were pleased with our stay though the climb back up to hotel from Orchard can be a bit sapping what with the heat and humdity. but made a good exercise after the heavy meals we had in town. the special rates were a bargain considering the location. staff were friendly and courteous especially front desk and the resto. you might like to consider treating your guests to free airport transfers as they do elsewhere. my brother who needed an upgrade was easily accomodated which was good.
Travel tip : the MRT is a great way to go anywhere. shopping in Mustafas and Bugis are a must. the Gmax at Clarke quay is a unique experience. of course visits to the zoo and bird park are a must. Boon Tong Kee for Hainanese chicken 24/7 and Din Tai Fung for taiwanese dimsum, at Paragon.

Location, pool, room size
A good hotel in a convienent location (you don't have to walk around to Orchard Road, just cross the area of the York hotel). Rooms are nice, but a little bit old. Pool is better than expected for this category of hotel.

1) Automatically upgraded our room to Executive floor without request
2) Early check-in at 9am without surcharge
3) Late check-out at 1pm without surcharge
4) Prompt service upon check-in & check-out
1) Should have touch-up interiors, especially bathroom
It's value for money. However, it's quite a distance walk (approx. 10mins) from Orchard Road. Quite tiring especially when full-handed after shopping, partly is because of the road is sloping.

I am quite satisfied with the check out service, it only take me 3 minutes. That's is the faster i have ever experience.
May be the day i cheked in is a busy day, it took about 45 minutes for the room services staff to get me a pair of slipper.
The hotel is abou 7-10 miunute of walking distance away from Orchard road, to walk under hot weather in Singapore make the short walking journey very uncomfortable.
Other then that i am satisfied with the services and the room at this hotel consider the price that i paid is much lesser then other hotels charged at Orchard.
I will definately go back to this hotel is i travel again to Singapore.

It is a very nice hotel and the rate is cheap with a nice location, it is very near Orchard road, walking distance. Clean and nice.
room is not available at the time of our check in considering that we have reservations.
Our stay in Elizabeth Hotel is a nice and enjoyable one. I am glad that I chose this hotel. It suites our needs together with my children. They enjoyed the walk from the Hotel to Orchard Road. The rooms are clean and the towels are always new. The rate is cheap as to the location and the ambiance. I will recommend this hotel to my friends who will be going to Singapore. The bus and the Mrt stations are few minutes walk from. the hotel
Shopping Tip : Orchard road with numerous malls for shopping, restaurants when you get hungry.

- The price which is not too expensive compared to other hotels in Orchard area
- The close proximity (5-10 minutes) walking distance to Orchard (through Paragon, if u know the shortcut)
- The old design of the hotel (incl the interior)
- The size of the room
Basically, it need a renovation
The Elizabeth is a good option for an affordable stay in Singapore with good proximity to Orchard, so those who are looking for a good hotel without spending too much should look at this option. However, i would think the hotel need a renovation since it must've been years since it first constructed. The interior looks so oldies.
If you stay here, perhaps you'll be quite intrique with the next door hotel, The Quincy (also from the same group)
Hotel Feature Tip : the fastest way to get to orchard is to wall down the road to Mount Elizabeth hospital, then walk through Paragon Medical and take a shortcut to Paragon shopping mall.

Lack of F&B choices. Is there a swimming pool?
I was really surprised by The Elizabeth. I liked it for its location -- it is just a short walk from Scotts Road (via York Hotel) and a stroll from Orchard Road. Yet it is in a quiet peaceful residential area. Its small size makes it feel a bit homely and ground floor staff are friendly and helpful especially those at the front entrance. It is value for money in an increasingly pricey city like Singapore and I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
Shopping Tip : The major shopping areas of Scott and Orchard Roads are within 5 minutes. You can make several trips to shop because you can return to your hotel to rest and freshen up in between!

Good Stay in the Heart of Shopping Belt, and hidden away from the main thoroughfare.
furniture and rooms a bit old, in need of a revamp to refresh the rooms.
Good Stay in the Heart of Shopping Belt, and hidden away from the main thoroughfare so that some privacy and quiet can be had. a short walk to all the major malls in orchard road, and food is never far away. the furniture and rooms a bit old, in need of a revamp to refresh the rooms. but this can be overlooked if you are staying out for most of the day. breakfast was reasonable.
