clean n well kept
budget hotel at strategic location

friendly staff and helpful. the room is pretty standard size but it is clean and comfortable for stay. hotel strategic location enable guest to walk around the city center without worrying of the transport issue. the distance to tourist attraction is walkable and good for stroll to have a sightseeing of the city centre

Call taxi ahead of time !!! The location is very close to Orchard Road shopping area (example: ION)
But make sure you call your taxi ahead of time. Or you will have to wait forever.
The restaurant is not acceptable for business meeting; unless your guest does not mound being in a budget place. Overall the staff are nice. Food is not good but considering the budget price, it's ok then. Singapore is getting expensive to visit. You do need to plan ahead!!!

Good for families and school groups
Plain but clean, quiet neighborhood close to NUS Bukit Timah Campus

Plain but clean rooms, medium-size with en-suite bathroom in a quiet neighborhood near Bukit Timah, NUS Bukit Timah Campus and Botanical Garden; also close to Orchard Road. Room charge includes Asian/Western breakfast buffet.
As of July 2012, pool and fitness facilities closed due to renovation of conference facilities on second floor. Construction noise starts at 8 am, so if you want to sleep late, get a room on the fourth floor.
If you want to go bar-hopping, this is not the hotel for you. But for families or quiet business travelers it is just fine.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Do not show up without a printed copy of the Agoda.com voucher. It is substantial trouble if you don't have that.

location is not so good as it is too far from shopping areas.
transportation to and fro city or centre is only by taxi. no mrt facities is available at present but it is now under contruction. to travel by bus is not convenient although the hotel provides shuttle service to the city or centre. however, it is quite nice to stay here in view of good service and cleanliness of room at quite reasonble room rate

That time their gym didn't work... It was quite expensive hotel but it didn't definitely correspond with the quality. The room was quite small without windows. The design was quite "old school". The breakfests wasn't so bad.

I like this hotel as I am quite familiar with staying in YMCA hotels everywhere during my younger days being a member of the organization. Having stayed in Metropolitan YMCA Singapore for the first time, I kind of reminisce my younger days travel. The friendly and helpful staff are like long lost brothers or sisters.

Decent hotel but on pricy side

Despite the room quality, the location is bad. The bus service is always full with passengers, I am referring to bus 190. The morning breakfast buffet is plain upsetting. Even the good attitude of the waiter/waitress can't cover it. The price is also on the high side. Accessibility is a problem as not train connection. The nature of high possibility of heavy rain and ultra hard to get taxi at town area made this hotel not so desirable. If they could lower price, maybe I would give it a second try.
