Maybe one of the best location in Singapore. Just a few steps from Cityhall MRT. As a recreation club, a lot of facilities that you can use. Breakfast is OK. Room size is adequate (in my opinion). But some might be bothered from the dress code information on the walls around hotel ...

Kinda love the place, seem to be rather safe as visitors also have to log in with IC. That's a little troublesome I think but for security sake, why not. It's rather quiet but i feel that hotel staff could be more professional in a way, they were the one making the most noise in the hotel, complaining about something. However, when they ended their conversation, peace returned:) So, it's all good for me.
The room is not bad at all just that they only have a bathing rope and would make you sign a rental sheet for another set. Bed's comfortable, bathroom's okay, in a longish shape, ample space for one person:) Quiet at night but i guess that really depends on your fellow next door neighbours too:)

5 Minutes walk to raffles city (city hall mrt station:))

Great location, staff and facilities

We stayed at The Residence whilst attending a conference at the Suntec Convention Centre. The hotel is located within walking distance of the venue. We arrived late at night and were greeted and assisted immediately by the security staff outside. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The only small negative was the road noise as we were facing Stamford Road, however it wasn't too much of a problem after the traffic died down. I loved the gym and pool and thought that the gym supervisors/trainers were very welcoming. The room was super clean and well-appointed with comfortable bed. There was free WiFi which was great also.
There was a good selection of food to choose from at breakfast and everything was nicely prepared and fresh. I would definitely stay at The Residence again when I next visit Singapore and would definitely recommend it to others.

As we arrived by ship it was easy to just travel from the pier to Marina Bay and arrive at the station right across the street from the hotel.
The hotel was very quiet and had a (recreation) club attached, it has very modern bathrooms ,and good airconditioning as well as a more than adequate breakfast.
Shopping Tip:
As for shopping all you have to do is cross the street and you are at a hopping centre with plenty of shops, and a rail station to take you to Orchard rd.
Good coffee shops an d free wifi some are open 24hrs.

this placed billed itself as a hotel, but it really does not live up to its name.
the rooms are located on the 3rd floor of singapore recreation club with the reception and rooms on the same floor. rooms are smallish but pretty well equipped and if you don’t spend too much time in the room it is adequate.
what really bothered me was a group of locals had booked 3 rooms to celebrate new years eve ( the day after), and they were testing the sound system at midnight!. the walls were not sound proof hence we were pretty much kept awake by the blast of music throughout the nights. to make things worse, a bunch of girls would run giggling down the corridor (that was nearly 1am) and no one at the hotel (there was only 1 night staff at the reception and no one else!) did anything to quieten them down. (we had at least complained 3 times over a course of 2 hours). it really felt like i had stayed in a backpackers inn except with a price tag!

the residence at singapore recreation club is located quite strategically in the city of singapore. something weired about the room will be the split level in the room where there are few steps in between the room entrance and the sleeping area. room is adequate in size, clean and tidy. breakfast is just average.

the location of hottel is very conventent. it is near the metro station. althought we are not good to speck english, there staffs were try to listen and explant for us. they provided a good service and great experience for us during our staying. if we will travel singapore later, we must choose this hotel again.
