Classy hotel Great Location Great caring staff Spacious rooms Lounge Staff/lounge is one of the Best in the Ritz System

Rooms are a bit older

Checked into the hotel around noon, was able to pay to upgrade to the club level. Recieved a Deluxe room which is very spacious. Comfortable beds, nice views from the bathroom. Used the Club quite a bit, and drank plenty champagne and enjoyed great food in the evening. The staff at the concierge arranged us first class transport for a last minute late trip to Kuala Lumpur

It was nice. Room has enough space to take relax time and bath room is clean and bright.

Waited at reception for checking out for long long time. And no staff was leading guest to queue.

We are satisfied Hotel room and restaurant. Room was excellent and could enjoy bright & big bath room.

friendly staff, gym and swimming pool.

condition of room, bar area, awful 'easy listening' live piano music.

I have been staying at the Ritz Carlton in Singapore for the last 6 years and it has been one of my favorite hotels in Asia. However, now the hotel feels run down and badly needs of refurbishment. The carpet in room was badly stained (I noticed this the last time I stayed there as well).

Great experience. One night in Singapore that made a difference. Excelence in welcome to customers, check-in proedures and time. A unique attention the escort to the room. Room spacious and clean. Awesome views of Singapore. Top of the line gym facilities. Excellent breakfast buffet. Definitely one reason more to come back to Singapore.

right in the center of Marina, easy access to shops, eateries, entertainment. Great view especially for the Marina Bay View. The Big window with the bathtub next to it is a big feature.

No complimentary parking with just one free exit ticket makes parking there costly. Can be noisy because of events along the marina. Pool is a bit small and crowded especially when the hotel is running full.

Checked in for 2 nights for 30th and 31st night to catch fireworks at Marina Bay. Not to be disappointed as it offers a great front seat view of the fireworks framed by the beautiful Marina Bay view. Service was befitting of the Ritz. Rooms well appointed and to expectations. Stay was enjoyable although I thought the free TV channels provided in the room was too skewed towards English speaking crowd as no Chinese channels except for the 2 local public channels which has limited programming. Big disappointment was on New Year Day when I came down for breakfast. The hotel was running full and they converted the basement ballroom to catered for the crowd. While the setting was ballroom standard the offerings was a bit disappointing as compared to the breakfast spread in the main dinning room (I had my breakfast there on New Year Eve and could see the mark difference in standard). I would have thought Breakfast for New Year Day should be a bit more special than the basic spread offered by the hotel which aims to serve volume than quality.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take advantage of its location and take a nice stroll along the bay up Singapore River which will lead you pass "the Durian", old Parliament House, Raffles Statue, up to Clarke Quay. Then take a River Taxi down River to the Merlion Statue and walk back to the hotel.

Rooms, views.

Charges for everything extra.

This is a very comfortable hotel, but you'd expect that for the price. The rooms are good sized and very comfortable, with good views - especially on the marina side. The baths are long and comfortable. The pool area, gym and restaurants are all OK. The extras, however, are pretty steep - $30/hr for a PC in the business centre, $16 to get a shirt laundered, $28 for a hamburger by the pool (plus 10% service and 7% GST in all cases.) The location is a bit away from the centre of things, but with taxis so cheap that isn't a problem.

Fantastic location with regard to transportation and shopping, friendly staff, delicious breakfast included.

The surrounding area (toward the harbor and the marina) are under heavy construction above and below ground which lasts through the night rendering the Ritz tower a tuning fork of noise and vibrations. A late night request for two sets of ear plugs took three phone calls, 40 minutes and only one set of ear plugs was ultimately delvered. The room was beautifully appointed but the bathroom had water damage on the walls shoddily patched and moldy.

The large soaking tub overlooking the marina or harbour (depending on your room) had a two way window so you could look out, but anyone in surrounding high rises could look at you. While fine shades were available, it would have been far more enjoyable to have single view glass. The well appointed breakfast buffet was served in the greenhouse lighted with foliage filtered natural light. The greenhouse has horrible sound attenuation so neighbor diners with loud children or telephones interrupt an otherwise pleasant breakfast. The hotel was tastefully decorated for Christmas and live musicians performed in the lobby. The pool and staff are also an excellent respite, though traffic noise from Raffles Avenue is still heard through the landscaping.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Underground shopping areas connet the hotel to the MRT City Hall Station several blocks away- navigating to the transport is confusing the first time, but a great way to travel with the locals.

Nice set up of the room and bathroom, just Ritz Carton's style, and bigger and nicer view than in others city. Also very well trained staff.

The wood flooring and carpet in the room are bit too old.

It is a beautiful hotel! I like the nice set up of the bedroom and big marble bathroom, separated toilet room... just Ritz Carton's style! and plus beautiful view! and very nice friendly staffs...

Large rooms, magnificant views, tea and coffee making facilities and free bottles of water were a welcome extra. Luxurious bathrooms with bath sheet sized towels. Spotless room. Exceptionally friendly and courteous staff.

The hotel charges an unreasonably hefty fee for use of internet.

Thanks to Agoda for the opportunity to stay in such an elegant and opulent hotel at such a reasonable price. No other discount website came anywhere near Agoda's offer. Our room had fabulous floor to ceiling views of the marina area. The king size bed was comfortable and inviting. I would recommend this hotel and would love to stay in it next time in Singapore but would it not be for Agoda's great deal, this would not be affordable to me. Great way to finish our holiday.

- Bed - Bath room - View

- Check in and Check out - Restaurant Service - The noise

We choose Ritz- Carlton over Pan Pacific because of it great service reputation. However we must said in comparison to Pan Pacific Singapore ( which is just around the corner from the Ritz- Carlton) the service leave a lot to desire. I arrived at the hotel around about 12:30PM for check in. We was quickly escorted to the check in counter by a very polite female staff at the door. The receptionists seem under pressure, with only two staffs at the counter. One staff was looking after two guests on one side and the others was Japanese receptionist busy dealing with some Japanese guests. The lady escorted us was trying hard to "radio" someone to come assist our check in. It took a good 3-4 minutes. Finally another lady come from some way. While she was assisting us, phone was ringing non-stop but all receptionists was too busy to attend to it. After a good 15 minutes the receptionist then told us , sorry our room is not ready ( which is Understandable, given most chek in at hotel is 14:00), but it is most be appreciated to be told earlier rather then 15 minutes later. When we are checking out, again the hotel reception was really busy with a long line of people waiting. We then approached a girl that walk past us, she then "radio" someone and organise us to check out from another reception. It is clear that the reception is poorly designed for dealing with large number of people at a given time, or simple it is poorly staffs by the management. We recently stayed at Park Hyatt Tokyo, they have a staff escorted us straight to the room and have all our registration in the room , so was the case at Ritz- Carlton Jumeira Dubai, perhaps something the Ritz-Carton Singapore management team can learn from. The other let down is the servicce in the restaurant. It's not attentive. We have to prompt for service all the time. All other service was very good and the telephone opeartor was in fact great. It is a shame the check in and out and restaurant service pull down the rest of

Hotel Feature Tip : If you are a light sleeeper like me, the room is not as sound proof as expected. My room was on 10th floor facing Marina bay, and my travel partner room was facing the Kallang bay. You can hear the sound of traffic from both room. So if you are light sleeper request a higher floor.

Great service, close to shops, close to Marina, quiet location for city, outstanding views across city

Pool area is under-utilised, windows do not open,

This was our first port of call on our way to Thailand. The service was impeccable from arrival to departure. Staff were alert and attentive. The views across the harbour and city were superb, especially at night. Would liked to have spent more time in our luxurious, spacious hotel room over the 2 nights we were there, however, shopping, eating and looking around the city took up most of our time. Hotel was popular with business types. This was fine by us as we were having a 2 week break from our little girl.

Restaurant Tip : The hawkers stalls on the marina about 8 min walk from hotel were good value eating with great views across the water to city.
