Walkable to Orchard. Free parking. Plenty of space for parking. Room clean. Walkable to Orchard, but quite a distance and you'll sweat a lot under the hot Sporean weather. Room small. Toilet small. The hotel room rates are cheap - but you get exactly what you pay for. In Singapore, the gap between one star will determine the exact quality that you will get. Fair deal I would say.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try walking to Orchard.

Great location, very helpful staff, fantastic pool. Needs some upgrading with furniture and fixtures. Make sure the booking includes breakfast in room rate, check bedding layout of room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Buy hippo bus excursion fare great value, and you get to see heaps with info.

Comfortable, friendly and efficient.
Very quiet. Room small but comfortable. Older couple with health issues traveling UK to Australia and in need of a good rest between flights booked one night stay at Traders Singapore. Hotel modern and comfortable, staff efficient, friendly and helpfull. Room on the small side but well appointed and comfortable. We had dinner in the dining room at midnight and found the food and service excellent. Breakfast was a special experience with the widest choice of cuisines I have ever encountered.
Hotel Feature Tip : Book a club room and you automatically qualify for a 6pm checkout. Very handy if you are booked on an evening/night flight.

Location of hotel was good - short walk to the beginning of Orchard road.
Hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Never a long wait for a taxi Surprised that with the size of the pool area it was all classed as non smoking
Breakfast was good but overpriced The hotel is situated in a good location - central but quiet - only a short walk to the beginning of Orchard Road - and a short taxi ride to Clark Quay.
The staff are all very friendly, helpful and all spoke very good English.
The rooms, and the bathroom, were a good size - well equipped and very clean.
Our stay did not include breakfast and although breakfast was good with a wide choice I felt it was over priced.
I would stay at this hotel again

The Hotel Staff at Front Desk is very efficient. Their reception is ver much warm & helpful. Their attentiveness is appriciable. AT the break-fast table, when i ordered tea i think they were not prompt in service. First day I had receive the tea after finishing my breakfast. SO the next day i insisted the boy to get me Tea asap & not to forget. I like to Stay at Traders hotel SInagpore. It was my third stay there abut the first stay booked through Agoda.com. The booking was made promptly by Agoda online.The Hotel Staff at Front Desk is very efficient. Their reception is ver much warm & helpful. Their attentiveness is appriciable.
Orchid Tower is walkable distance to this hotel. If you are in SIngapore on Friday night, must visit Orchid tower for diffrent pubs etc.

Lovely tropical pool area - pool open to 10pm

Rooms small, although comfortable
Decor could be updated - it is showing signs of age I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Traders. I was travelling by myself and felt safe staying at the hotel. I especially enjoyed the pool area. The pool is not deep but fine for swimming and cooling off and it is a decent size. The Botanic Gardens are a ten minute walk away from the hotel, featuring the National Orchid Garden. The Tanglin Mall is attached to the hotel which is great for picking up groceries and other shopping closing at 10pm. I would choose this hotel again.

Internet and toiletries. Gym and pool were great. Cable not so great. Could use more chanels because if you're badly jet-laged and awake 3 in the morning...you need to do something. All was good for my stay in a superior room. I never ate the food so can't comment on that. I was lucky to have pool side view, so very quiet as well. The self-service laundramat really helps.

Great location, clean rooms, breakfast buffet was great Slow elevators, slow internet Stayed there for three nights and everything was great. The location was great which is just a walking distance to the Orchard Road. The hotel is right next to the Tanglin Mall and a few minutes walk to the a nice Botanical Garden (if you want to do some refreshing walk). The rooms were clean and quite. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, elevators are very slow. They have at least 6 - 8 elevators but none of them is waiting at the ground floor for anyone who wants to go up. Internet is free but slow.
Aside from that, everything was great and will definitely stay there again.

Good size room, nice view, bathroom adequate Breakfast in clubroom, ordinary Sold a promotion at $80 for breakfast and access to clubroom. Terrible, AND $80 per night. Missed one morning, staff very reluctant to switch to another morning.Room service food ordinary. Also too far from MRT. Alittle out of it. Would choose more central hotel next time.

it's connected to a small mall which has a food court and and a grocery store so you wouldn't have to spend much on room service or something... stayed there for 4 days i had no problems really i've stayed at a lot of other hotels in singapore but this was my first time at traders hotel.. if you're there for shopping at orchard rd. it's at the end of orchard so you'd have to walk quite a distance to get there BUT there is a free shuttle service that goes to orchard so yeah just ask the front desk people. i wasn't there for shopping though so yeah my stay there was just right. it's connected to a small mall which is convenient for doing a bit of grocery instead of buying at the hotel which of course is very expensive.. and it has a food court so you can just eat there if you're too tired to go out or wanna save instead of ordering room service.. i had no problems with my 4 day stay there

small bathroom, hard to get taxi it was an ok experience for me, nothing special. i have stayed in many hotels in singapore because i like trying them out and seeing their difference. so i decided to try traders hotel. in my country we have a nice traders hotel which is part of the shangrila group of hotels. so i guess i was expecting something nice. food was great and they were even willing to provide food that was not in their menu which i am grateful for. but the room was small and the bed was not as comfy as i wanted. but the thing that bothered me the most was how small their bathroom was. but overall it was an ok stay for me. but i think this will be my last time to stay at traders hotel.
Travel tip : dan ryans resto. good steak. good beer

Good location, hotel lobby is well decorated. Staff in general are helpful The plumbing in the bathroom was so noisy (airlock) that I had to have my room changed. The minibar was not well maintain- in fact, the small box complimentary chocolate was opened with one already taken out. Good hotel but the room maintenance and follow up service needed to be improved in order to claim to be 4 star standard

The hotel is well located and within easy walking distance of Orchard Road. The hotel staff are friendly and helpul. The room was quite small and the bathroom was in need of renovation. The hotel is very conveniently located next to Tanglin Mall which has a good range of restaurants, shops including a supermarket.

2. Small toilet & bath. I am a frequent guest of this hotel. Best value for your money. Good quiet location, yet a walking distance away to Orchard Road. Hourly free shuttle service to Orchard Road....and early morning transfer to major locations in the City. Quick check-in and check-out processing. Good food specially salads at the lobby cafe. Attentive staffs, clean rooms, clean facilities. Swimming pool and sauna relaxing get-away after a hard day of work.
Shopping Tip : The newly openned Ion shopping mall is paradise for bargain and signature label hunters.
