It's a good experience since the hotel just at the end of orchard road and easily go around the area. Lots of business traveler. Close by to the mall and food court. There are shops and cold storage supermarket where you can buy necessity. Even there are home fix store at the mall. The hotel room quite small and nothing to expect. Just clean and well maintain hotel.

It is nicely located in one end of Orchard Rd, which is the main shopping street in Singapore. 20 minutes walk to some of the most popular shopping malls, Takashimaya, Paragon, Ion, etc. The location is also adjacent to Singapore Botanical Garden (about 5 minutes walk). The room is a bit small but acceptable, however it is a bit old. Service and facilities are standard 4-5 stars hotel.

Lovely hotel near Orchard Rd

Traders Hotel has a good location, about a 6 or 8 min walk from the top end of Orchard Rd. The nearest MRT station is Orchard but this is a 15 min walk away.
The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms are nice, it also has a lovely pool and sun lounger area which is great to relax in for awhile.
I did not eat at the hotel but there are plenty of shops and places to eat close by.

Although this is a 4 stars hotel but definitely have a 5 stars value in it.
The room is lovely and the bed was good. They provide a free Wifi service which is one of the main reasons that I choose Traders Hotel in the first place. The signal is very good and the speed is very fast as well, definitely a good news for guy like myself whom use internet a lot.
Their house keeping crews were very friendly and helpful even help us to decorated our room with our own Christmas gift that my girl friend brought over.
Although there no comfortable walking distance to the nearest MRT station specially during raining season but they do provide free shutter bus to the nearest MRT station i.e Orchard Station. Again it's around SG$7 - SG$10 for taxi fee to most of the places in Singapore from the hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you want a laundry self service you can goto the front desk to buy 2 tokens for SG$18 to do your laundry which took about 85 minutes both washing and drying. They have few laundry station in between floors. Or you can goto the shopping mall lower ground floor for laundry service.

traders hotel is nice to stay for our family and very familiar with taxi driver from airport. closed to orchard road and we can shopping for meals or something tanglin mall near the hotel/2nd floor.
next holiday we will stay there.

we were told we get an upgrade to traders lounge level...
was happy initially.. but after i stepped into the room, i wonder what's so special abt the upgrade? besides moving to a higher floor?
- the rooms were not huge
- a little old & gloomy
(just a v.normal standard room i would expect)
overall stay was pleasant as they provide good service.
- they hv complimentary parking if you drive
- swimming pool is quiet and clean
- gym looks neat with "new-looking' equipment (i just walk pass- same level as the pool)
- hotel is connected to tanglin mall
- 10min walk away from bustling orchard rd
- breakfast is pretty good until 1030am on wkdays & 11am on wkends! - for those who need to catch more slp :)

Great area to stay in if shopping" sightseeing in orchard road. Hotel is of reasonable standard, if you get at a good rate, however, starting to look a little bit "old" in decor. Staff service very good. Would only stay if in transit, or for 2 nights

We like the convenience of the hotel with good selections of food and drinks. Find the interior a bit aged and needs some upgrades. Car park is easy to find but rumored to flood in heavy rain.
Shopping Tip:
Walking does most of the tricks.
