Great value and comfortable room

I had a fantastic time in Singapore and the Value Hotel Thompson definitely added to my experience. Though the hotel was located a bit outside the city center, the low price and more than adequate rooms compensated for the out of the way location. The room, though small, was very comfortable. The bed was delightful and I slept like a baby after a day of sightseeing. Nice touches like free bottled water and coffee were unexpected. The rooftop pool is a great addition, and I would definitely stay at this or one of the other Value Hotels again should I travel to Singapore.

Good hotel for the price

The hotel is quite good for the price since the room is comfortable and clean. It is also located strategically. Once, i tried to walk from orchard, and it took me 45-60 mins to reach the hotel.
I don't take the breakfast since some reviews mentioned that the breakfast is not that good in the hotel.
However, the bathroom is way too small, and the service is not that good. I travelled to singapore with my girlfriend. The thing that I noticed the first time i stepped in to the hotel is that the door man gave me a strange and judging look. once i talked to the receptionist, he did the same thing. i know it's uncommon for the eastern culture to see young couple travel alone, but I believe that singapore is a multiethnic country that's visited by tourists across the world. i felt judged and that made me feel uncomfortable.

great location eventhough the room is a bit small
affordable hotel with swimming pool, kids just love it..

we had great time staying here, with swimming pool at 7th floor.. my kids really enjoy their holiday.. easy parking space and friendly staff.. the location is great too where u can walk to taste indian food near the junction. u can choose room with internet connection and i found it's very useful to plan your trip for the next day..or you can use the internet at the lobby of the hotel.

Other than the smallish rooms and noise easily heard when outside corridor walk way, all other services, rooms are good!

stayed over at the hotel coz it was one of the nearest to upper thomson road. lovely place. room was small but decent. pool was nice and clean too for early morning lap swimming
could improve on other gym facilities. currently, they only have 2 treadmills. also, when hotel need to have some foldable chairs available.

Small rooms that cover all my needs

my travel objectives to singapore were a combination between business and sightseeing. i didn't stay for a long time in the hotel room. so, in my opinion value hotel thomson have provided all my needs : clean room, hot water, various tv channel, even hair dryer and mineral water as a compliment. ps : i think it's better if the rooms with no window are equipped with an exhaust fan to make the air circulation better
