Shopping Tip:
There is a shopping center specialized in sports wear and equipments nearby novena MRT. It is about 15 minutes walk on foot or equivalent to 3 bus stops away

hotel receptionists are very friendly and helpful. toilet and room are too small. no fridge. its not hotel, its more like a motel. in singapore, at the price of under night, i wont ask for more.
Hotel Feature Tip:
there is a good noodle soup across the street ($5/bowl, $1/coffee or tea). if you walk a bit to a hong kong style restaurant ( family type) you can get very special chinese dishes there. the food is very good, their signature dishes was recommended on local news.
taxi from airport to hotel is about $s 20-23. from hotel to orchard road: under $5 + surcharge ( vary from 0 to 5 dollars). hotel to marina bay sands ( $10 + surcharge).

ordered this hotel for my friends, they are very happy abt the stay here. the room is "standard size" as hotels around this price in sg, very quiet, comfortable and clean.
near to 7-11, local pasar with delicious food, 10mins walk to mrt station and shopping mall, 20-30mins to the cbd area.
not use the gym and pool, no comment on these.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take MRT and bus, you can reach anywhere you want to go. Bus stops are 3min walk frm the hotel.

although there was plenty of construction taking place in the neighbourhood the hotel is well located and within walking distance to the mrt. the hotel seems fairly new, everything is available and if you need more water, towels, pillows, tea and coffee, you only need to call reception.
i took advantage of the swimming pool on the one day the sun was out, but even when it was raining, it didn't matter too much as the heat was enough to entice anyone into their lovely pool.
