Has gym included; but not useable....
Clean Hotel in the lower cost range

When selecting the hotel to stay at this time I was happy to see that they had gym facilities since I had started exercising at the beginning of the month (21 days earlier). When I went down I mentioned aGoda had indicated they had a gym, they corrected that statement and said they had a mini-gym. I went up and there were 2 machines and a pool. The pool looked very good, but I was looking forward to using the machines. Unfortunately instead of buying one decent gym machine they bought two inferior quality machines. The cycle forces you forward into a weird angle and is so flimsy I could literally tip it over with my index finger. I then proceeded to use the treadmill. I got on, turned the machine on and it started to lightly run.... but every step that was taken the treadmill would queal .... stop moving then resume moving.... not usuable. The hotel would have been better of buying one high quality machine like a Lifecycle instead of two inferior pieces of equipment.

Helpful reception staff & housekeeping

Hotel locates at the junction of Thomson & Balestier roads with easy access to local food stores, 7 Eleven , banks & Shaw Plaza. Room is compact, clean but poor sound proof. Lost my luggage & the front desk is helpful enough to send to my room at 3am & arrange for transport to airport after check out.
Shopping Tip:
Can get convenient goods at budget prices at Fair Price store located at basement of Shaw Plaza

The staff are so friendly the hotel are very clean, few minute walk to the mrt station easy to get taxi, the location is very safe even late at night. The hotel is Close the shopping mall which Is so much convenient.

The hotel is located nearby the Novena shopping mall which make it very convenient to do some shopping and MRT too. The hotel room is pretty small but it is clean and tidy. Nearby the hotel, there are some restaurant that open until late nite which you can enjoy your supper.

Great Deal but room is very small and without window.
Makes me feel like I am in a prison cell. But atleast it has hot water shower and the room is Air-conditioned.
Shopping Tip:
Near town and many places to eat around there. Also there is hospital opposite for your convenience.

The triple room is spacious and the bed is comfortable and clean. It is about 15 minutes walk from hotel to mrt station,so it is considered a bit far. But, bus stop is nearby the hotel. The bad point about the room is the poor sound-proof of the wall. The noise from outside and the neighbour rooms are quite disturbing your sleep.

Hotel with new facilities and helpful staff

My husband and I stayed in a deluxe room with a big glass window. The room was pretty small but the facilities are very new. Restroom is very small and there was almost no room to shower, the shower place is right at the toilet bowl. Anyhow, not bad for the budget hotel, since the facilities are pretty new and the big window gets some sun light in the morning. But I cannot imagine to stay in a standard room without the window in that small room though.
Location of the hotel is good. 2 min walk to the bus stop where you can get bus numbers 143 direct to Orchard road and other major shopping areas. If you want to take MRT, it's only 10 min walk to Novena MRT station.
The cons.. about the place is that it seems like the room got no walls! We can hear almost every thing from outside like people talking on the hallway, phone ringing in the other rooms, etc. That noises woke us up very early every morning before the alarm clock goes off.
Well, other than that... the location is fine, and the staff are very helpful.
Restaurant Tip:
There are many famous Chilli Crab restaurants in Singapore. It's a must try dish!

New hotel at convenient location
The hotel room is very new. 3 min walk to bus station to get to city center. 10 min walk to MRT station.

We enjoy the stay there, except for loud noise in early morning along the walk way of the hotel. We feel like there is no wall between the walk way and the room. We can hear the phone rings, people and maid talking...that woke us up at very early morning every day. Location is convenient. Staff are very helpful. But Bathroom is too small, almost no space to shower.
Nightlife Tip:
Boat Que is a nice place to hang out during night time.
