A rather run down hotel in a superb location. You can reach almost everything in the city area by foot. There was not included any breakfast in our room price. However you just step out in to the street and there you have plenty of breakfast options to choose from. This hotel is ok for staying if you want a convenient place in town but are not to fussy about the standard of the room. The price is in the middle range and nothing to say about, but if you are prepared to pay a little more you can get a more decent hotel in the same area.

There are many eateries around this area where one can get a good sample taste of the local food. Try the one opposite the hotel, a arrey of local foodfair is available 24 hours. There are also 2 Seven eleven just beside the hotel and the other opposite it.
Shopping Tip:
If you are interested in the local chinese arts and craft, there is a good choice in the building opposite this hotel.

This hotel is ideally located within walking distance to three MRT stations and plenty of food options to suit every budget. The rooms are in need up an upgrade and during this stay the floor of our room was unclean.
On the plus side, the bed is comfortable and the wifi works well. Overall, Singapore is a rip off for accommodation, but this is one of the better options. Whatever you do, avoid staying at any of the Fragrance Hotels or Hotel 81's, they are awful.

Great Location but staff not responsive

Great location for shopping and food.
Unfornately the staff took 2 days (3 nights) to fix the internet router on the 2nd floor so did not have internet access for all that time. Not at all happy. I had to hassle them to fix it (at least twice a day).
Restaurant Tip:
Check out the nearby Fortune Centre in Middle Road for great vegetarian restaurants (good even for meat eaters).

Stayed here before. Good location because it's near the MRT station. Hawker Chinese food widely available. Convenience store on the ground floor. Churches nearby. Singapore Art Museum also nearby.
Restaurant Tip:
There's a famous chicken rice near Raffles Hotel within walking distance from Victoria Hotel. You'll have to walk past bras basah complex. Ask for directions. A fish ball noodle soup near that too.

Very Clean, Convienience room and location

I stay there for a night and feel very happy that I choose this hotel for my short visit in Singapore. Very close from MRT and everywhere. Wifi is the best facility as well.

the room was less than i expected but appeared to correspond with the price. i've been in similar discounted hotel stays before and this experience was not as good as the ones in the past. however, for the budget traveller, this is an acceptable place. it has the basic amenities and its location makes up the room experience.

the rooms were small, but that is to be expected for this price range. size notwithstanding, it was very quiet, clean and comfortable.
the location of the hotel was excellent: bras basah mrt station was just around the corner, bugis mrt station (which was also where bugis junction shopping mall was at) and city hall mrt station were just a few hundred meters away.
the staff was very friendly and helpful, and they tried their best to accomodate you.
also, there was free wi-fi in the room.
