Clean chic hostel with privacy

Very clean, chic hostel that is 2 minutes away from the Chinatown MRT station.
Even though you share a dorm room with 10 other people, since Wink Hostel uses a pod bed design, you still enjoy a lot of privacy. However, this is kind of against the purpose of stay at a youth hostel and meeting new people (there's a sofa in the room where you can mingle with others, but I didn't see anyone do that during my two days' stay). But other than the bed design, it's like any other clean and well run youth hostel with lots of common areas and friendly staff. I liked that, on top of the free wifi, there were always laptops available for use (altogether 5-6). Also you could get discounted tickets at attraction sites (e.g. $5 off for Night Safari) at the reception.
One thing is that you have to pay for towels (S$2) and people I stayed with weren't particularly considerate and started banging doors and making noises at 7am (not that it's the hostel's fault though...)

I had a pleasant stay at the Wink Hostel, they have a place to watch the telly, laptops for people to use (like a mini cybercafe), considerably green, very clean place. Arrived there using the shuttle booked from Ground Transport Desk at the airport, apparently Wink Hostel is well established so the staff quickly knew where i was headed. It's also at a very good location in Chinatown, only few mins walk to the MRT and quite a big shopping mall called Chinatown point. One of the staff (possibly the owner) was kind enough to show me around, which made me feel very welcome. The only downside for me are the small duvet and that check in time was at 3pm so i couldn't get the nap on my bed i wanted to after my travel, but still they allow you to store your luggage with them and use the facilities (shower, sofa, their mini cyber cafe) provided.

Superb Value for Money

Despite being a backpacker hostel it is very comfortable and a good value for money. You get what you pay for of course and there aren't any luxuries but the staff is very friendly and helpful. Good location near the MRT and in the middle of Chinatown. Was travelling alone in Malaysia and Singapore for 2 weeks and being a woman it is always tricky to find a place where i can feel safe and secure and here had no issues whatsoever. Totally recommend this hostel!

I love wink

I loved my time at wink, looking forward to going to singapore again so i can stay there. Compared to other hostels in singapore wink is head and shoulders above the rest. Great location in china town close to mrt and local restaurants etc.. spacious pod style beds, lots of common areas to relax and socialize and even a laundry room.

Very clean, well managed hostel near subway

I really enjoyed my 3 days there. I checked in very early and they had a bed available. I utilized the kitchen to cook my own lunches. There is a refrigerator and labels for your food. There are plenty of places to sit and use the wifi and computers available if you don't have your own. Free bread, cereal, apples and bananas are available for breakfast.
The bathroom/showers were very clean and never busy. There are 5 or 6 shower stalls that wet always free. Towels can be rented (3 SGD I think).
The pod beds are actually pretty spacious and seem more private than I imagined. The lockers under the bed are big enough for a large backpack or two carry-on sized suitcases. They lock with your room key so safety isn't a concern.
