Surprisingly dirty hotel in Singapore!

When I checked in, I gave the receptionist the Agoda voucher, yet she could not find my reservation. She kept asking me which date I made my reservation - how could anyone remember such thing??
The room is very run down. The surface of the wardrobe and bathroom cabinets were pilling off!! I am very frequently business traveler and it's the first time seeing such run down hotel in Singapore.

The staffs are helpful/friendly. When the service we engaged did not show up, the efficient bell captain helps making a follow up call and even to the extend in finding another service to take a group of 10 to the airport in time for our flight at rush hour.

Front desk indian or parkistan young male stuff one of the sickiest and weird dude I ever seen.
Besides that, he trying to convince me to purchase a breakfast + internet package, which I already had breakfast included.
Front desk indonesia female stuff also one of the sickiest I ever seen.
Concierge is good.
Room average. Some big, some small. most are clean.
For the price and services, I would strongly suggest anyone consider the Quincy or Elizabeth nearby.
Restaurant Tip:
Breakfast sucks.

Very good location. 5 Mins walk to Orchard Road. Very very very very very near to the main shopping district in Singapore. Very very very warm staff who will go all out to offer their help. Parking lots available, great jacuzzi and swimming pool. Totally enjoyed our stay there. Will surely go back to this hotel again for another staycation.

Affordable hotel located at orchard road area, though you need to walk a little walk there. The hotel staff was very curtious and helpful, they greeted us with smile. Rooms were spacious and clean and overall ambience was very good. It is close to main Orchard Road yet it maintains a very quiet surrounding, which is good.

It was a convenient hotel for our stay as we needed to go to hospital every day when my father had his surgery at Mt. Elizabeth Hospital which was only a walking distance from the hotel. It was also convenient because it is so close to shopping and eating areas, My concern only the hotel entrance has lots of steps but has no access for wheelchair users.
