We loved staying here, we have returned for a second visit.
The York, has the best of two worlds, is a quiet restful place to stay but within a 2 minute walk to the prestigious and busy shopping precinct on Orchard Rd, and food halls.
Would love the swimming pool to extend hours of swimming, as by the time you have arrived back at the hotel, you are hot and tired needing a cool sim, but it is closes at 7 pm?
Taxi rides can take you anywhere from this hotel.
And there are a myriad of food halls and shopping centre within easy walking distance.
Drnking water should be free every day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
See Bukit Brown Chinese Cemetery, inside the Bukit Timah Reserve, off Lornie Rd, ( which is a tropical rainforest) its abolutely stunning teeming with wildlife, yet peaceful and tranquil, amidst Singapores busy concrete jungle. It's a must for ll travellers. the cemetery and graves are a gentle reminder of Singapores rich heritage.

we loved our stay at the york, the room for four was perfect for our family. it's big and spacious, it was also very quiet and beds comfortable. breakfast was good, although slightly limited. the pool area is great too, nice area to just sit and relax or swim. the location of the hotel is great as well, being so close to orchard.

Orchard is a 5-min walk away

it was a pleasant stay during our time in Singapore. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice and clean room. the hotel's location is very near or walking distance to orchard shopping district.however,it's a hassle to walk down to orchard road when it's raining.

Good location with huge rooms
it's approx 7mins walk to Orchard Road, good value for standard of room as Singapore hotels are generally quite expensive!

We travelled with 2 kids (ages 10 and 4)and booked a deluxe room which was upgraded to a premier deluxe on check in at no additional cost. Our room was massive! There was a king bed and 2 king singles, the room was nicely furnished with a large desk and bedside table, 2 armchairs and a coffee table. The bathroom had a double basin and was clean and user friendly. Only downer of this hotel was no free wifi. You can jump on the internet on one of the computers in a little room in the foyer but you have to pay for it!
Shopping Tip:
The hotel is about 7mins walk to Lucky Plaza (tacky shopping centre for all things cheap) which has many money changers with the best exchange rates in Singapore!
