Definite value for money, a great breakfast included, well situated. The staff wasn't overly polite but they did their job so I guess I can't really complain. The hallways smell a little dusky but the smell doesn't exceed into the rooms so it's okay. I only stayed for one night so what I experienced about the hotel were just impressions. My impressions were very positive though and I would definitely stay in this hotel if I ever come back to Singapore. My room was very neat and the A/C was easy to work and worked well (had problems with A/C in hotels earlier). Definitely not a high class, fancy hotel but very good for basic needs.
Orchard road is pretty close as is MRT so moving around is easy.

it was 9pm when we checked in. a friendly staff at the reception and concierge met us. we were tired and hungry due to delay of 4 hours of the flight because of the typhoon in manila but the warm welcome of the hotel staff made us feel home. the facilities are not that impressive but we are okay with it. i would rate it 5 for service and 3 for facilities.

- Good Buffet Breakfast YWCA is a good budget hotel at the convenient location. It can be accessed within a few minutes from Dhouby Ghout MRT Station, and there's a shortcut from Park Mall Building Level 4.
The room is clean and convenient, staff are also friendly.
The air condition in the room was working fine and gave me a good nite sleep.
My package includes buffet breakfast which was quite good and worthed with the package price.
A little inconvenient noise in the afternoon. It's probably other guests' voice and some noise (probably) from the room service.
And as my room window was facing the Park Mall, there's nothing much to expect :)
Overall it's a good budget hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : To access this hotel, if you are taking MRT, just alight at Dhouby Ghout Station, go towards Exit B. Once you are at the street level, find the Park Mall, enter the mall and use lift to go to level 4. Once you are out of the lift, you will see parking area, follow the exit of the parking area.
After exit, you will see the street, head to your right hand and you will see the YWCA :)

Opposite to the Famous Fort Canning park
Next to National Musuem of Singapore Breakfast was more or less same dishes everyday YWCA is indeed a very good option for people who like to stay near to the shopping and party zone. The rooms are quite big and the upkeep is also nice. i liked the buffet meals that they serve during the lunch / dinner. there's a nice cozy smoke area too at the ground floor and wifi connectivity for a reasonable charge ..in all a very nice accomodation facility at this price.
Shopping Tip : never buy electronics stuff from Lucky Plaza ...better check at Mustafa or better still at DFS

Really good price for singapore hotel price standard Room is too big and the furniture do not suit the size of the room, its quite a distance to orchard shopping YWCA nightly rate is really good value for money for singapore hotel price standard. Even though the location is located near orchard rd, however the distance is not really walkable. The lobby is nice and the room was spacious but the furniture in the room is not suitable for the room as it only have 14 inch television and the beds are really small. Recommended to take MRT from Dhoby Ghaut if you really want to go orchard, its only 2 stations away. The nearest shopping will be parkmall and plaza singapura.

- Hallways have a 'musky' smell The YWCA is a centrally located hotel, within minutes walk from the shopping mecca that is Orchard Road, but still within walking distance from Clarke Quay and the Civic (City Hall) precint. The hotel offers a swimming pool and an inclusive breakfast which adds up to great value as many other Orchard Road hotels seem quite pricey.
Nightlife Tip : Check out the New Asia Bar on the 71st floor of the Swissotel Stamford... It offers panoramic views of the island and offers cheap S$12 cocktails from 3PM-9PM daily.

harga kamar sangat terjangkau,bersih,sarapan pagi cukup memuaskan,strategis area,dekat orcard shopping mall,mrt akses hanya bypass dari parkmall yang ada disebelah hotel dan menyeberangi jalan untuk menuju bus stop dan mrt dobby gout. rate kamar cukup murah. bangunan tua tapi tetap terawat,kamar mandi kecil,tidak ada pemandangan yang bagus dari kamar kami memilihnya karena letaknya yang strategis tidak jauh dari gleneagles hospital yang bisa dicapai dengan berjalan kaki atau taxi,standart kebersihan yang sangat baik meskipun gedung sudah tua tetapi sangat terpelihara. tidak ada masalah apapun selama menempati selama 2 malam,sarapan pagi sesuai standart hotel bintang 3,harga relatif murah dibanding hotel didaerah sekitar Orcard road.selain itu sangat dekat dengan plaza singapura,dan mrt. bus stop yang sangat dekat hanya melewati parkmall yang ada disebelah hotel kami dapat menuju orcard shopping area yang sangat terkenal di singapura. bus farenya sangat murah hanya S$1 kami sudah sampai di belakang isetan mall.kami tetap akan memilih tinggal di YWCA pada kesempatan lainnya.

The hotel location is very good, close to shopping area, Orchard area, offices, etc. Quiet and good place to relax, rate is also good. Need improvement on the facility ie. restaurant need some decoration and music, the menus offered limited, internet access too expensive while you can get it free in most of other city hotel. Pool area need something to attract peoples to come and enjoy it's large space or maybe can be a place to sit and view the city at night.
Shopping Tip : Just a short walk to Sing Plaza

It's located very near to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station. From the hotel, you just walked through Park Mall and cross a road to get there so it's very convinience for me because I used lots of MRTs.
The staffs are very friendly.
There's a souvenir shop at the lobby and their prices are quite cheap. The facilities are quite standard. The water-boiler jug in my room was leaking. I asked for a replacement but it didn't come.
Shower space is small.
I would recommend this hotel to they who want a nicely located accomodation, especially if you want to spend much time shopping at Orchard and/or use MRTs as transportation. Because it's near to both.
But if you want a very comfortable accomodation, I won't recommend this hotel.
Shopping Tip : Very near to Orchard Rd.

I love the location! It's a very short walk from the Dhoby Gaut MRT station so you have access to the red line and the purple line at once. Plus, there's a few malls in the same area, like Plaza Singapura for quick shopping needs. Because the hotel is a bit old, it could use a bit of sprucing up, especially the lobby. Also, our room smelled a bit of cigarette smoke when we first entered. Housekeeping took care of it, but it seems that whenever they turn the airconditioning off when leave, the smell comes back. It dissipates quickly enough by itself though, so it was never a big issue for us. Highly recommend staying at YWCA Fort Canning Lodge. It's good value for its price, and the location is great if you intend to use the MRT a lot. There aren't any nearby hawkers (at least we didn't find any) but as I said, there's a mall and the MRT nearby. Room is clean and well-maintained, even if it is a bit bare. It's good enough to get a good night's rest after sightseeing. Like most hotels, there's also a baggage room where you can check your bags in case you get there before check-in, or if you'd like to do more sightseeing in the area after check-out.
Hotel Feature Tip : Remember to check the reception desk for their location map to find the quickest direct route to the MRT.

the hotel is clean, and the staffs are accomodating, good airconditioning system not so many taxi coming to hotel I stayed at the hotel for 4days and three nights, the hotel is clean, the staffs are accomodating, the room and airconditioning system is good, foods served during breakfast are good and delicious but always the same menu. Location of the hotel is near mrt. Hotelprice is reasonable. If ever i go back to singapore in the future, i will still stay at YWCA.

Very clean & neat room. Great location for Orchard shopping! Just cross through the parking of Parkmall next door then you arrive Orchard road! Quite poor breakfast with just few choices! Via the recommendation of cousin, we booked YWCA Fort Canning Lodge and really satisfied with our choice. It's just 10 minutes to Orchard shopping street. Even a short way if you want to go to Riverside point. We were really impressed by the security persons, very helpful and friendly. Rooms are so clean and tidy. In general,we can say" extremely value for money"

Location is perfect.
Price was reasonable.
Hotel was very clean. Just that slight hostel feeling.
Noisy aircon.
No taxi stand - had to walk up to Park Mall. We stayed for three days in YWCA. Finding it was no problem - just tell the driver to take you to "YWCA Fort Canning" and you are there in like 30 minutes from any airport. The best thing about this hotel was the location. If you look at the map it may seem that it takes some time to get to Orchard Road, while in reality you literally have to exit the hotel, walk left and take the stairs down to Orchard road. It's a nice hotel in the very center for a reasonable price. Aside from the noisy air conditioning that wasn't creating so much coolness as it did noise the experience was a good one.
Shopping Tip : Orchard Road and the MRT station are right there literally 5 minutes away by walking. And whey you're tired of all those lights just take a strall in Fort Canning Park.
