Well catered for at the Chosun Spa Hotel

Very affordable, large well equipped room and the hotel had a spa and activities for the family.
7.7
Very efficient check in and everything worked out very well for us - a family of 6 with 3 small children.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile

It was a lovely stay as the staff is friendly and attentive. A great choice indeed!

It could have been worse...

nice view over the lake

The room was alright, however, it could use some make over. Staff seems to be nice. However, due to lack of English skills on the staff's side it is difficult to make yourself understood (e.g. "We have a room for 2 people but only 1 bath towel." or "There is no hot water." Since we only spent 1 night it was okay, but for longe stays I wouldn't want to go back!!

good for free travel team

location

we,4 adults family, stay at this hotel for 2 night. though, they didn't provide breakfast/swim pool..but very convient around this area. the room doesn't big and facility is old. however, they charge you cheaper than others and you find all things you need easily. we believe it is suitable for free travel members who wish to stay and enjoy self-exploration.

Old, nothing special but good location

Location.

This place wasn't in a hurry to upgrade any of their outdated features. We had wall sockets that they didn't remove when they added new ones. There was no fridge, and the internet only worked on the sauna floor. The location was good, but if we did it again, we would pay a little extra to stay at one of the other hotels in the area.

spa was not so good

room was large but expensive
6.3
i was looking forward to taking the hot spring.and it was ok but almost all bathtub were not working.so i could get in only one bathtub.and sauna too.and you can take the hot spring only once a day.and you have to buy shampoo and Rinse. But the room was large and most of the staff could speak English and a little bit Japanese.so i asked them many things and they answered kindly.that was so good.

2012 Price VS 1990 hotel

nearby Concorde and Commodore hotel, a convinient shop 10m far away
5.7
Outlook is 1990s, interior decoration is 1990s. . The staff (day) in reception is not very nice, the application form usually fell by staff in other hotel is needed to fill by the customer themselves. . The corridors in every floor at night makes me scare! Many lights are closed due to environmental protection. . The interior decoration of my standard room is in 1990 style. The toilet looks like the style of a hotel in Thailand. . No shampoo and body lotion. . The staff (a man at night) is very friendly and helpful. He can clearly tell me the bus route among (KTX, Town centre and Bulgaksa). . The location is good. a bus stop is just outside the hotel. If anyone go to Gyeongju by KTX and go by shuttle bus No.700 to hotel (Bomun Hotel Concorde stop) is very close to the Chosun Spa hotel (15m). . . Gyeongju is for Korean traveller, not for foreigner. The notice in hotel or the bus route all are in Korean. . I don't recommend this hotel and Gyeongju.
Restaurant Tip: 30m far away from hotel to the south is a serial restaurant (Korean food and Korean bbq food) ; 10m to the south is a convenient shop ; 40m from Chosun Spa hotel to the west on the back of hotel Concorde is also many Korean restaurant. If you wanna have a half-full meal, the normal price is 7000 Won. The meal usually is bean curd or bean paste. If you wanna have bbq meat, the minimum charge is 15000 Won/each for meat and 25000 Won/each for beef. Many restaurant restrict customer at least order 2 sets of meat or beef!!!!!

Run-down hotel

Large rooms, Korean style bed
6.3
The room was very spacious and had some view of Bomun Lake. However, the room was rather run down by Korean standards. For foreigners not well adapted, and the staff had very poor command of English. Had to pay a fair bit for the spa even though we were guests of the hotel.
