This was our third stay at Amiga Inn. Coming from New Zealand, our Korean language skills were basic, but the staff knew enough English for us to communicate well. If you treat the staff politely, they reward you with friendly service and helpful advice. The location in downtown Seoul, within a few minutes of Jongno-5-ga subway station, makes Amiga ideal as a base from which to explore the city. We consider Amiga excellent value for money.

Convenient and near Dongdaemun-sijang
Near Dongdaemun-sijang and I could walk to there. There are many restaurant.

The hotel is located in near subway station. There are many restaurant near the hotel. It is convenient for the person who use subway to go somewhere. Hotel's staff are kind and intend to understand even if we can not talk with same language.

A very pleasant stay, nice hotel with all facilities you expect from 3 star hotel. Bed got heater which warm you after a cool day round the city. The daughter of owner spoke English and assist you how to go around exploring the city.
Restaurant Tip:
for muslim, itaewon offer plenty of halal food, it take about 3 km distance from amiga, krw 3000 for taxi

Checked-in late at night. Desk clerk was a bit on the rude side as we check-in. Room was decent with a big LCD tv, though some wear and tear on the room. Check-out time is at 11, just as we were leaving to the elevator (at 11:01am), received a phone call asking if we were still sleeping as we must leave. Thought it a bit rude of them. Would probably look for a different place next time, though the room was cheap...

We spent 5 nights at this motel. Thanks to all the previous comments, we manage to find the motel with their direction. We went with low expectation so it's somehow a ok ok stay for us. Great that they have WIFI at the lobby. Even though we arrive early, no room to check in but at least they help us with our bags and we started our visit early.
1. Great location. Within 5min walking to subway, 15~20min walking to Dongdaemun, opposit is a local wet market. MUST visit the wet market for local food (good for breakfast and dinner).
2. It really depends on luck. The room that we got is ok. Just nice for the 2 of us (at least with this price). Clean and with a bed warmer, mini fridge and big LCD TV
3. The front desk auntie is helpful but she only understand Jap and Korean Language. So it's really hard to communicate.
P/S: No trip advise / service is provided. The leaflet is overdue. The young girl can speak English but bossy.
Restaurant Tip:
Must visit to the wet market near the subway. The local food is a MUST try. We had our dinner fry "cheong" (pig intestine) and sashimi. Wine and rice wine is great
