Cute hotel in a convenient location
close to everything, internet

This was a cute little hotel with spacious rooms decorated in a 1950s art nouveau way. The only thing was that the windows only open one side at a time, and there was an insidious smoking smell that would permeate the room even with the windows open.
The reception was helpful however, according to them there were no non smoking rooms at all in the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Close to the arts district and nightlife/ subway lines.

Clean and well furnished alternative hotel
Great location and very comfortable interior

art hotel is situated near kyo dae subway station, only one stop away from gangnam. the hotel itself is in one of the side streets off the main road. it is a "love motel" in essence, however the service and the cleanliness of the rooms warrants a higher rating. the hotel provides car parking and all the frills that an establishment of this nature usually has. plus, a major benefit of art vs a regular hotel is the entertainment system, which has a computer hooked up to the flat screen tv. for those who don't need all the fancy facades of a regular hotel (or a bellboy), art has all you need for a comfortable stay.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Should you forget your toothbrush, or need a hair band, you can buy a comfort kit from reception for 1000 won ($1) which has all of these, plus more (the type of equipment useful for a loving stay).

Good location with Spacious Room and Clean Shower
My booking was confirmed quickly and the hotel staff were very helpful

as a foreign traveler, it can be really difficult getting good service because so much of what is said is lost in translation. the staff were quick, and friendly and everything was processed professionally and efficiently.
our room was clean with fresh linens and a cable and the room came standard with all of the things travelers usually forget: body lotion, face wash, moisturizer, shaving cream, hair spray etc the only thing missing was toothbrushes. (they supplied toothpaste though, so perhaps this was an oversight)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is located a 1 minute walk away from the subway (nambu bus terminal exit 3) there you can connect to line 2 for Gangnam or line 3 for Sinsa-dong (which we loved for the great shopping) or Apgujeong (lots of ritzy restaurants and bars)

'Love' hotel in kind of dodgy area
'Love' hotel in kind of dodgy area

The pictures shown at the hotel description did not match with the type of room we stayed in (way less fancy and arty) and the hotel turned out the be a 'love hotel' (aka rooms can be rented for just 4 hours, etc). Would not recommend staying at this hotel...
