Its a cozy hostel, book 1 twin room and 1 family room, we are group of 5 people. The owner, Lee is friendly and he let us to do early checkin and late checkout. The ambiance is good, help us recovering after all day trip and shopping. It is near hongik subway, about 10 minutes walk, it was not hard to find if you follow the direction they gave to you correctly. Also convenient if you wanted to stay in a long time since they provide washing machine and detergent.

"Perfect"

“Perfect”I spent 5 days (2-6 April 2013) in Birdnest Hostel Hongdae and I enjoyed it a lot. I love the single room, since I am a Moslem and traveling on my own, I prefer to take this room for privacy reason. The room is SUPER fine for me. Is in the 2nd floor which is awesome and it has a small table, a table lamp, a mirror, a clock, AC, and a bed with a clean bedcover. Excellent!! Free breakfast is available (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bread with jam, egg) and all is self service. Free laundry and you can iron your clothe as well.
Great thing about this place is the location. Just about 10 minutes walk away from Hongik university subway station. You will find the location easily if you follow the given directions. If you are a tea or a coffee drinker, there is a place call “Deep Coffee” a small coffee shop , and the Green Latte is very amazing. Is a MUST to try!! If you need something to munch, you can reach 7-Eleven or GS25 (24-hours Mini Mart) which is very easy to find.
The owner, Mr Lee is a nice, friendly and helpful person (^^,)V he allowed me to use the phone to contact my friend in Korea. He also willing to drop me at Hongik university subway station very early in the morning, to catch my flight (it was raining and I am very appreciated, thanks in a million Mr Lee) He’s a very open person, easily to mingle and welcoming all the guests by having warm conversation with them. Keep it Up Mr Lee.
Over all, I enjoyed my stay here. I was honestly sad to leave and will definitely go back if I am ever in Korea again. "Please keep that single room for me Mr Lee \(^ ,^)/ TC always"

The living room and bathroom is a little bit too messy for my comfort, but i guess if you're looking for a homey feel, it's quite okay. the ones who run the place, is really nice and attentive.

My friend recommended this Hostel and since I trust his taste we decided to book Birdnest for our 1 week trip to Seoul. We book the twin room which is on the 2nd floor of the hostel. It's actually bigger than what I expected so I'm happy guest!The 2nd floor has a nice, warm and calm ambiance compared to the first floor so good thing our room is in there. The hostel has super fast internet so you can upload your pics in 1,2,3! The bathrooms are always clean, towels and tissues are always provided. The place is near subway so super easy access to the subway transportation. The owner is very kind and accommodating. We arrived early (8AM) than the check in time (2pm) but he let us leave our luggage and eat breakfast! Our flight back (9pm)was also way out of the check out time (12NN) but again he let us leave our luggage again while we roam around and enjoy our last hours in Seoul. We really appreciate this, Well of course it was really us, that's why I'm writing this review. I'm just curious ~~^^ The area around is very quite and safe. Since the place is located in Hongdae which has superb night life, which me and my friend love so much this is a Major plus. I'm really satisfied with my stay here and will recommend it to my friends. We are planning to go back next year, so you already know where I'll be staying ^_^

we stayed for 2 nights and the twin room is big enough to open two suitcase.10 mins walk from the subway or airport bus.highly recommend to live on the second floor,because the living room is big and no tv there,it is a quiet place to stay there.the owner is very helpful and keep our suitcase before we go to the airport.simple bread and coffee and make it at home feel!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walk to ewha univercsity and shopping there is very convenience.
