The best 3 things about this hotel is the location, location, location.

The location is the best thing about Chungmuro Residence and Hotel. At first we had a hard time looking for it but after that it was pretty easy to get around. The hotel is walking distance to Myeongdong shopping areas, Migliore, Uniqlo, Namdeamun Market, Dongdaemun market. There is also plenty places to buy food from, and restaurants to eat at. The only thing I disliked was one of the office staff was not too friendly, but the rest were friendly and made up for it.

Lovely hotel and convenient location

My kids love the loft and heated floor. Nice city view from the two-story window. Close to subway line 4&5, very convenient. Due to our travel plans, we only stayed there for one night. Will come back next time!

Accessible but bad service

the location of the hotel is quite ideal. it is near the subway and the shopping areas are a walking distance away. however the staff manning the front desk does not seem friendly and never smiled at us throughout our stay. when ask for directions, he would just point it at the map and gave it back to us without a word. if got choices, and you are not one who can stand bad services please dont stay at that place.

We stayed in Chungmuro Residence for 5 nights with my family. The room is big with a loft area. The room is new with modern design. There are both air-con & heater in the room, washing machine, stove, big refrigerator with complimentary water bottles on the first day. Toothbrush and toothpaste is not provided. And it is hard to find the location of the hotel at first. They sketch the hotel map the wrong way. But once you know the hotel location you will discover that myeongdong & dongdaemun market is few minutes walk. Convenient location, 5 mins walk from Chungmuro Station. It’s near Myeongdong & Dongdaemun, and close to the airport bus stop and the bus stop to N Seoul tower. Also near in Korean Village House.

The hotel is in a very good location. Near to myeongdong just 2 stations away. It's very easy to take cab in front of the hotel. Staffs are friendly with a big smile. Room are just fine for 3 pax. The only unsatisfation is no housekeeping everyday.

I traveled with 11 people all together which consist of children and elderly. Altogether I booked 3 rooms, 1 room that can sleep 5 and the remaining 2 rooms 3 people each. I must say the rooms are clean and spacious enough to place our luggage even for the family room.
Overall the stay was pleasant and yet affordable. I will definitely stay in this hotel if I travel to Seoul again.

good location and about 10 min walking distance to 2 subway station. (chungmuro and eljiro 4 subway). easy access to a variety of food available near the hotel. travelling to most places of interest easily access. only set back is the daily cleaning is not so effective and clean.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Buy T-Money if you depends on Subway. Its convenient as all sub-way and buses uses the T-Money. T-Money are Subway Card which you can load Money.

This is my second stay at Chungmuro Residences. I am happy to stay with Chungmuro because the price is reasonable and that it allows me to cook in the apartment. However, what I think Chungmuro should improve is, the housekeeping services. I've noticed in my 2 stays (2011 and 2012), I don't believe my bedsheets are changed daily. So are the floors - they are not swept daily. Because I have a young kid, I had to use a cloth to wipe the dust off everyday. My rubbish bin are cleared every day. Towels are changed daily but not the bedsheets. The floors, the surface of the stove and sink are not cleaned.
